I just want to say about the cats that I highly recommend you contact a Trap Neuter Release program (TNR). Female cats can get pregnant at just a few months old so the population will explode. And there will be inbreeding so you'll start to see some very tragic kittens. The TNR people will come and help the colony, find homes for the kittens, and give any medical care needed

I just wanted to recommend if you ever want to garden, keep the bamboo you’ve cut down, dry it out, and use them as DIY stakes in the garden. It’ll save tons of money not having to buy ones. Love your work!

I’m so happy someone had an idea to reuse the bamboo trees. My heart ached when I saw MaCenna dragging that beautiful tree. I have a friend that makes flutes, jewelry and other items with them. And he’s always looking out to get those trees that fall or are taken out to reuse them in his art.

It’s looking good 💗 when you hem the bottom of the curtains you can take that material and make tie backs. It’s nice to have your parents. Potassium is good for roses, they love bananas 🍌 peels, I throw them at the foot of the root of rose plant, and chop them up the soil underneath the rose Bush and bury. They will bloom with in 2 weeks.

When you're finishing leveling out the soil, I suggest you pull the soil away from the trunks of your trees. Building up soil up onto the trunks can cause problems with the bark rotting, diseases, and pests for the trees. You should keep the soil level around the base of the tree the same as it was before, while grading the area surrounding that to allow water to continue away from the trunk - don't want pooling water around the trunk either if it becomes significantly lower than the rest of the yard.

Hi MaCenna, I would recommend that you do not "cut" the length of your new Walmart curtains in case you should choose to use them in another area later. It would be too bad if they ended up being just short of reaching the floor in let's say, the guest house later. You could simply turn up the hem to your desired length and then iron and stitch. Since they are temporary, this quick fix should be just fine. Blessings for a great day! 😇
@jmk1962
@jmk1962 2 жыл бұрын
Or use iron on wonderweb so no stitching required and you can just undo it at a later date if you want them longer.

First off, Kinsley prancing on the top of your dining room table in the background is hilarious. Secondly, since you have bamboo, you must have water. What (creek?) and where is it? I'm in a 100 year old cottage with single pane wavy glass windows. Very pretty and original, but horrible for keeping out the cold in the winter. I used heavy duty black out drapes from Walmart that I pull closed at night. I have double curtain rods, so I have prettier panels in front that I also pull at night. My living ateas (LR & DR) are in the front of the house that faces South, so I open them up most days in the winter. I just swap the panels out during warmer months for white sheers and an unlined linen panel in front. I like to say that my house has "clothes".

I had to stay the night at the Los Angeles airport because the price for one night at a hotel for less than 6hrs was absurd. I didn’t really sleep but they do provide cots, blanket and pillow. Hey MaCenna! Instead of a burn pile, wouldn't someone be interested in your scrap wood pieces? Or could you safe them for future projects? Oh another option: chop them up and dry them and create a safe fire pit in the garden for the coldest months.. With wood prices being so high and with sustainability in mind, a burn pile sounds a little wastefull. And I love how thrifty you usually are! I'm always checking youtube in case I missed a notification for your video's, you're the best! Xo, Moniek

Girl!!! Don’t ever do that ladder lean again! ( 3rd living room window!) You’re going to get hurt and it will takes weeks ( up to a year for bad things like surgery) if you break a rib or a shoulder. Please promise me you will never do that again!😭

Best advice from my Dad, always point your empty wheel barrow in the direction you’re going to go when it’s full! 😅🤣😂

I am an animal lover and rescuer and I have great compassion for them, especially for those who are abandoned and neglected. That poor mama cat with baby kittens must be hungry. I hope they all will be OK. I rescued a mama cat with 5 kittens several years ago and then took them all to a private home where the lady adopted them out. I was exhausted watching you clean up the yard.
