Hey MaCenna! Listen girl, I know you are used to being busy and productive but you are now a mom as well as an exceptional creator/creative! Things have changed in your life and it’s ok to stop and have a reset! We get it. You have a life outside of creating. I’ve never seen you as stressed as you were in this video and it’s concerning. In my opinion I think you need a break. Even if you just cut back on the vlogmas, we, your true followers, will understand. Get yourself some rest and enjoy your time with Cade and Romeo this holiday season because you can’t get that time back! ❤

OMG it’s not the end of the world, if you can’t get to do a project ! Your baby should be your priority over the diy ! Babies grow so quickly & you might find in time, you’re going to regret not holding baby more & spend time with him ! From day one you’ve tried to continue the way you left off ! It can’t be done, baby always comes first ! You can’t function at a hundred miles an hour! Regardless if you think you can do it ! You’re very lucky, not many new mothers have their partners at home with them ! Enjoy this time & bonding with them beautiful baby ! When I listen to you talking so fast, I even feel the stress 🫣 please relax !

You are a new mother. Please do not get caught up into post partum anxiety. You need to stop and reclaim your life as a mother to Cade and a life partner to Romeo. The painting, the projects, the clutter should not be a high priority now. Cut yourself some slack. The more drama you create, the more anxiety you will feel. Take a real break from insisting that you vlog, or post, or video, or shop. You need to learn to relax. And take care of yourself. Your Viewers truly care about you and hope that you really enjoy your beautiful son’s first Christmas with Romeo.

Girl I have 4 kids no space for a tree or any decor as much as I want to decorate so bad and when I had my first baby I lived in my dads unfinished basement on an air mattress for a year in a suitcase.. we had money but knew our living arrangements was temporary with all our furniture in storage & no housing available where my husband worked, the depression was severe but I still found the gratitude, if I had the amount of space on my own home with her, her dad & our corgi, as you have I’d be the happiest mom in the world. It took me to find a place to rent 3 hours away where he drove back& fourth to find my content, mind you I live in ND where winters & roads are awful 7months out of the yr. Be grateful, don’t focus on the small stuff, things can be worse and remember how blessed you are…

Thank you for being so vulnerable MaCenna! Please take all the time you need with baby and family and with yourself!! I can feel your emotions a bit through the video and I am right there with you. The holidays are so short with so much to do and so much to get done. I can totally relate to feeling like I don't have enough time to do everything I need to do, plus remembering to have fun and spend quality time with my friends and family. Plus this is the time of year I usually suffer from burnout and slight seasonal depression, so I try to schedule some days in a row to just do NOTHING and it helps me so much. I also lean on my partner in those times and he is great about supporting me with that. If you need a break from vlogging, please know we will be here whenever you decide to post again even if it's after the holidays ❤no pressure.

I mean this in a kind way, but you talked about how you were working on the patio for over 5 WEEKS now. So to learn that you left the staining until the same weekend the video was supposed to be uploaded, is more than just not having a plan. You had already pushed that video back an additional week because of the rug, so you said, and now here we are again and again and again. It's time to hire an editor and/or additional help, so that you don't have to carry the entire load of creating content on your shoulders.

I am in SoCal and got NO rain. So glad you are sleeping upstairs with the baby. I knew you would. When the baby starts walking, you won't be getting anything done. You have to use the time to clean and cook and then you have to find time to create. It's not easy. But once you have a child, they come first. I never had time to do my hair like that unless for a special occasion and someone watched the kids while I did.

Feeling lost, MaCenna edition - it's a combination of motherhood, still-recovering hormones, the approaching holidays, and constant need for achieving goals so you always have lots on your plate. After you finish decorating for Christmas, maybe take some time off just to Netflix and chill for a while. Spend time with family, take a couple-only trip, hang out with your gorgeous son..... Just focus on you and your mental / emotional health.

Please don't feel stressed. You do you and we're happy. Enjoy yourselves. There is no reason for Vlogmas. Popping in every now and then, saying hi and letting us see your smiling face is far more important then stressing over commitments. Many of have been where you are today, and none of us spent our lives on stage as you do, well at least I haven't. As long as your happy, we're happy. So take a deep breath, repeat. Enjoy! You need a designated work space - the front living room bay window (by the stairs) is perfect for your desk! Thats your filming room. I think you have to move your bedroom upstairs, next to your son, and Romeos work space should be downstairs, next to the laundry! Can't wait until you start the bookshelves, too, for the livingroom ❤️ This and decorating, and making ornaments, should be at least 25 days!!

Perhaps you should try to work on multi-tasking? You didn't really need to wait for the rug to arrive to stain and paint, that could have been done weeks ago. Maybe writing out not just an overall plan but like plan bs for projects if something goes wrong, that might help? Just an idea!

New motherhood is a time of intense transition! It’s absolutely normal to feel overwhelmed and even lost as you adjust to this new life. Nothing is as easy as it used to be. Everything takes more effort and planning. (It’s harder, yes, but more beautiful than ever.) Cade is so little right now and requires so much of you. Don’t worry-that level of dependence lessens more and more over time and it gets easier to do your own things again! You might end up deciding that you need to hire out help either for occasional babysitting or for video editing help-whatever takes pressure off and allows you to do what’s most fulfilling in your job. I’m sure you’re feeling the pressure of needing to earn money while also being present with your family. You’ll figure out what makes the most sense for you. In the meantime, don’t allow yourself to burn out by trying to do everything you used to do! You simply can’t do it all!

It’s ok to “just” be mom. Taking care of a baby is hard. It’s ok to take things slow, it’s probably even best not to overdo it so you don’t burn out. I think everyone watching understands juggling work with a new baby is chaotic and exhausting, even if you love doing it all. I wish we could take some of the pressure off.

After having a baby, most women have to either cut back on their work (going PT or becoming SAHMs) or hire help. You aren’t the exception and that’s okay - it really does take a village. Devote the time now to figure out what you can afford to do and then come back with a new plan/schedule and the help to stick with it BEFORE your mental health takes a serious nose dive. Superman is fiction for a reason - no one can actually do it all.

In winter we are meant to slow down. Our bodies don’t know this rat race life, that’s all in our minds. Our bodies change with the season and yearn for this time of year to rest. Obviously you have many things that are contributing to your feelings (new mom, postpartum) but something that is finally being talked about since us GenX women are dealing with it is perimenopause. Symptoms can start in your mid 30s. It's real and I knew nothing about it until my therapist mentioned it after I started having anxiety out of the blue. Every woman should be aware so we don't feel bad or less or like we are going crazy :) Hormonal fluctuations in Peri are just as important as those surrounding pregnancy and should be talked about more. Remember to give yourself grace, everyone.

5 weeks of talking about the patio, to be met with this. And no accountability. Just say you procrastinated for a month (while telling the audience you were doing it) and waited until the absolute last minute to stain the deck, after already pushing your video back twice.... But now you plan to do better. The end!

Hey girl 🩷 it’s the season of slowing down. Days are colder & shorter. Certain animals are prepping for hibernation. Try to lean into the season and reserve your energy and mental space for what truly matters. Projects matter because they give you joy. But this is a time where you can pick your musts and make peace with what you can put in the mental parking lot. I know you mentioned having a plan & goal helps give you clarity, but try to adjust your expectations for your actual mental bandwidth. I also understand you’d probably want to do things outside of motherhood or maybe crossing things off gives you a satisfactory feeling…but do things with JOY, intent, and pause. Other things can wait, certain moments with yourself are most important.

How good would it be to turn under the stairs into storage for all your filming equipment. And hey don’t push yourself over this Christmas period. It’s a hectic time already without the addition of a bubba. Enjoy him and this precious time we’ll all be here in the new year.

Cade's first year will go by quickly. New parents are often fatigued with all of the needs of their dear babies. Feedings, diaper changes, washing clothes, and everything else takes a lot of time and energy. When you work fulltime+ hours, you get tired. As other have said, we can miss a year of vlogmas. The most important thing is taking care of Cade, Romeo, Kinsley and yourself. ♥ Enjoy the Christmas, Jesus is the Reason for the season. John 3:16 Hugs❣

The good news is that a productive blast usually follows what you are going through. Or, back to normal in your case! 😉 You will make beautiful holidays no matter how much gets checked off the list. Enjoy!❤

I've been watching for years! I have grown kids in their mid forties. I may never have grandkids, I would love to see more of the baby! Even if it's just from a side view. My kids walked at 8 months so things changed very quickly!

I hardly ever leave any type of comment, but I've just read a bunch of ladies comments here and McKenna. All I can say is I am also a mother and a grandmother. And I also know the trials and tribulations of anxiety and mental stress and right now. Yes, it's so true. You are a new mother and you need to prioritize motherhood. And your viewers totally understand if they're a mother. And a parent then understand what you're going through. So please give yourself a break. Cut yourself some slack. Listen to the women in this community because we've all been there and we've done that and we love you and we want to see the best for you and Kate and Romeo, so please give yourself a break. Take a step back and just prioritize being a mama. And a wife. And relax and treat yourself kind. You're the one that matters. It's you inside that we have to take care of love you and enjoy decorating your house. Happy holidays.
