btw, that level editor program is very close to a CAD design program.

if you need advice and rules, its not intuitive, from your heart. it's hard to be creative if you copy from someone's instructions and rules, universities, schools, teachers.

doom levels could be generated with custom made blocks, so benefit of both hand made and complex matching combination of those pieces, into levels. someone calls it wave function collapse, to generate seamless matching levels from compatible blocks.

Half life 1 and Counter Strike is clone the Quake1 , Quake 2 and Doom & Duke Nukem 3D. used archive .wad in textures

This is true, however, Valve will not forget the ID inspirations, and even you will see the rocket launcher from Quake in Tf2 as a secondary weapon for the soldier. This is as a tribute.
