Minstrel shows were a historical tradition starting in about 1830. White performers would paint their faces black (such make-up is also called "blackface"), perform mocking and racist stereotypes of people of African descent, for the entertainment of primarily white audiences. So Romesh is saying Iggy Azalea is exactly the same, except that she's too lazy to put on blackface makeup.
