I just love the RHDR , used to stand with my cousin's at the bottom of my grandads garden waving to the passengers , must have been 1979/1980 amazing memories. I often visit my original home town of Folkestone and every time I do I always take a trip on this beautiful railway 😄😄👍 so so good and well worth a trip if you are ever in the area.

Man this makes me homesick. I spent 4 years of my life working with these beautiful locomotives. Northern Chief was always my baby. First steam loco I ever got my hands on the throttle of. Been 15 years since I've been back. I could watch these videos for days. Thanks for the great clips. So many wonderful memories

Beautiful and they move with precision and ease. Sorry to read of the accident this morning. What was a tractor doing parked on the tracks?
@almostkentish30428 жыл бұрын
What kind of utter pillock leaves a tractor over a bloody railway line though? There was a million and one better places, I know, i leave nearby!

I wonder if any of these have ever been involved in an automobile or lorrie? I would think it would be hard on them in the event of a collision. Here in the states crossing crossing vary until a fatality occurs. The crossings there in the UK look strong with less opportunities for careless motorist to slip past and endanger themselves and all of the people and the trains. I think here in the states they also beef up the crossings where passenger service as well as higher traffic concentration. We have some weird rules here in the States.
