#Romsdalsgondolen is a Newly Opened Attraction in Åndalsnes. The cable car will bring you to the hill Nesaksla where you can visit the Ottarbu stone cabin at a height of 708 meters. From there you can take a hike down to the popular and most recognizable viewpoint of Åndalsnes - Rampestreken.
Romsdalsgandolen is the longest cable car in Norway, the idea of this cable car appeared in 1964 and the ride takes about 5 minutes. The maximum speed is 10 m/s, and the climb reaches 73 percent.
The cabins are able to carry 45 passengers and depart every half an hour, but it is promised to run it continuously if awaiting passengers will appear.
In early July, Eggen Restaurant opens on the top with spectacular views in all directions.
#Åndalsnes is a town in Rauma Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, #Norway. Åndalsnes is in the administrative center of Rauma Municipality. It is located along the Isfjorden, at the mouth of the river Rauma, at the north end of the Romsdalen valley.
We captured drone footage in 4K and made additional drone film to our regular travel vlog.

About Us:
We are traveling across Norway with camper Hymer Eriba Troll 530 Rockabilly. Most of our trips are relatively short and start from Fredrikstad in Norway. For those who are limited in time, you might discover what you could see during a two-day or three-day trip in Southern Norway.

Thank's for the review. Åndalsnes/Isfjorden is where I grew up during the 70' and 80's, and I've been to Nesaksla numerous times by foot. I have yet to experience the gondola, since it was still under construction last time I visited.

So nice to have a viewer from places where we made a video and especially with a positive comment! Hope you like the way we saw and showed Åndalsnes and Isfjorden. We've been to Nesaksla in April, just before the gondola in Åndalsnes was opened, so we know the difference! :) Hope you will visit these places soon! ☺️🤗

It takes about 5 minutes to ride. It goes pretty smooth all the way except for one moment passing the second tower... then it's a bit bit rollercoaster. 😀😀😀

I am very pleased that Norway is using more and more cable cars, following the example of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The cable cars are very ecological, require very little space, are quiet, very safe and run on green electricity. However, the fare of 450 NOK (44 €) is far too expensive. For this mountain with a height difference of approx. 700 m, a fare of NOK 200 - 250 would be appropriate. For comparison: The Zugspitze in Germany is 2962 m high; The cable car to the Zugspitze is more than 3 times as large and contains 3 world records. The ascent and descent to the Zugspitze cost € 61 together. Here is the comparison (full-length trip with the Zugspitze cable car, Germany): kzbin.info/www/bejne/opm4qpp7rtmqoM0

Cable cars are great attractions, but prices are rather high everywhere and that is something we cant influence, just can try to catch better offers and discounts. So did we in May and went up at the half price. Hope to catch some offers when planning a trip to Germany, Austria or Switzerland.

@@CrazyTroll With some cable cars in Germany, Austria and Switzerland you get discounts of up to 50% if you arrive by train. In Switzerland, this offer is called "Halbtax" (Half-Fare) travelcard. Cable car technology was developed in the 19th and 20th centuries by cable car engineers from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and South Tyrol, which is why almost all of the specialist literature on cable car technology is written in German. At the international cable car trade fair Interalpin in Innsbruck, almost only German is spoken. Almost all of the cable cars in Norway were built by Swiss, Germans, Austrians and South Tyroleans. Doppelmayr / Garaventa is based in Wolfurt, Austria. I think it would be an attraction in Norway to build a direct cable car from the Trollveggen besøkssenter to the mountain Trollveggen. The valley station of the cable car could be built right next to the Trollveggen besøkssenter or the train station. The mountain station right on the summit. A fare of NOK 450 would then be reasonable for such a great cable car. There are also several cable car forums in the internet; the languages in the cable car forums are German, French or Italian, the languages spoken in the Alps. I am in a German-speaking cable car forum. More than half of all cable cars worldwide are in the Alps. I don't know if you can speak German, but since German is a Germanic language just like Norwegian, it shouldn't be too difficult for you to understand German. For example: Besøkssenter (Norsk) = Besuchszentrum (Tysk); Taubane (Norsk) = Seilbahn (Tysk); Jernbane (Norsk) = Eisenbahn (Tysk), Middag (Norsk) = Mittag (Tysk). When I'm on the Zugspitze, I sometimes explain the cable car details of the Zugspitze cable car to tourists. I need not speak English, because a lot of the Dutch, Danes, Swedes and Norwegians understand German quite well. Mye Takk for din fine video. :-)

Hard to disagree, but that is something out of control and we were lucky to catch tickets at reduced price during first week once Ronsdalsgondolen was opened.
