Most prolific I don't think so. Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon has Been on Billboard's top 200 For 950 weeks since its release in 1973. That's Unprecedented. No other band has done that. Nice try though. Facts matter. 😂😂😂 Kashmir is my favorite song by Led Zepplin. Being born in the 60s and growing up through the 70s. Nothing outshined Pink Floyd. I'd say Ozzie/Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Iron Maiden out shine Led Zepplin. Even Queen or Kiss✌

This song is considered one of their "epics" along with Stairway to Heaven and Achilles Last Stand. None of them had been to Kashmir; instead the lyrics were inspired by a trip Robert had taken through the desolate, desert landscape of Morocco. Zep rarely used other musicians on their songs but bassist John Paul Jones arranged the strings section for this song. When played live, Jonesy would play the strings part on a Mellotron (a type of early synthesizer) while playing bass using the foot pedals. Keep in mind, if you play an album cut of theirs, they are playing all the instruments; there's no samples, autotune, click track, etc. So for example, if you hear 5 different guitar parts or a combination of electric and acoustic guitar, you better believe Jimmy Page played all the parts and overdubbed them accordingly (he produced all their albums). Here's a link to a live version of this song from a concert in Knebworth in the UK filmed in 1979. This is near the end of their career as they disbanded in 1980. Be careful though because KZbin is fickle; they might let someone else's video go up but block yours even though you're using the same clip. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nojCiH-uqMqkZtE Where to go with Zep from here? They truly don't have a bad song so be adventurous and pick one at random and see what you get.

There's probably more occasions I'd put up Led Zeppelin than Pink Floyd, mostly because Pink Floyd is best enjoyed in album form and is something I sit down for with my headphones. I do that too with Led, but I can also jam to it during exercise, when taking a stroll, when I work etc.

This song was born out of Jimmy Page. This was a practice riff that he did over and over again. He was playing this in rehearsal and the whole band stood up and realized it was something worth while. Plant took the riff and put the lyrics to the song. The beat was all Bonzo. What really pulls it all together is John Paul Jones on the organ. The same thing happened with Joe Walsh with the band the Eagles. His practice riff was the guitar lead in to the song Hotel California. Glen Frey lost it and when he played it again Don Henley and Glen Frey wrote one of the greatest rock songs of all time. A good amount of credit must go to the second guitarist on the song Don Felder. he pushed Joe Walsh to expand it to a great guitar solo. You never know where the inspiration of song will come from.

The best band there ever was and ever will be. This song was channeled from another time/place/dimension and these men were blessed by an ancient, magical power. I saw Led Zeppelin perform live twice, on their last North American tour before Bonham died. I graduated high school in 1976, so it’s one big consolation for being a boomer. Growing up, my holy trinity was Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and The Rolling Stones, but there are so many other incredible groups from the era that I do wonder at that. How and why was it the most prolific time for so many innovative, supremely talented bands (in all genres, not just rock) creating such incredible music? Seriously-was it aliens, sorcery, drugs? Did they forfeit their souls? Was it a combination of these, or something else? I’m only half joking because it really is mind boggling. It’s something to marvel at and feel very fortunate to have been around for.

There are three bands I think of when the subject of versatility and diversity of sound come up - the Beatles, Led Zepeelin, and Queen. All three bands range all over the map, using lots of different styles. The Beatles went from teeny-bopper pop to vaudeville to ballads to hard rock to whimsy to screaming experimentalism. Queen went from progressive rock to English music hall to proto-metal to folk to romance songs. The 60's-70's were a wildly creative time in music, all kinds of threads getting woven together in all kinds of combinations. You have embarked on a journey, my man, that will engage for a quite a long time. :)

You have just started. You are going to find out how rich the music scene was back in the 70s into the 80s. Many great bands. Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, and the list goes on. But Zep is a good place to start. They are my personal favorite of all time. But as you have said everyone's tastes are different. But keep rolling down this road and your channel will grow.

I've watched a lot of reaction videos of younger people, like you, and one message keeps coming back: history. To really know music, is to know how it came to be. You don't have to like it to know it, but it certainly helps in arriving at a better understanding of why you do prefer a particular genre or style. Good job. LZ is the GOAT!!! But then, even the Rolling Stones have their moments...

"Pink Floyd" !! They have many great songs for you to react to but, to really enjoy them on a personal level you need to listen to the albums beginning to end. After, a listen you will get what I mean. Make sure you have lyrics to follow along with as the song writing is off the charts deep. Start with "Time" from the " Dark side of the Moon" album. You are welcome. 😉

I think there is still some creativity and excellent musicianship, but you have to dig for it. It’s harder to find, tends to be more underground, independent artists. The big popular stuff isn’t really the good stuff anymore. And of course, there was plenty of crap that was popular back then, but the good stuff got plenty of attention too, so there was a balance. Now, most of the popular stuff is turd, and you have to go looking for the good stuff.

Kashmir is a huge hit for Led Zeppelin, and it has been borrowed by many artist. What most people overlook in this songs is the most intricate part of john Paul Jones. He played keyboard and played bass with this feet. Ok here are few songs I have seen other yoytubers reacted to live and did not get their video blocked- Whole Lotta Love Live at MSG Black Dog Live at MSG Immigrant Song Live 1972 The Ocean Live at MSG These following songs you must check out as well. Lemon Song The Wanton Song Fool in The Rain (one of the best drumming by Bonham) Achilles Last Stand Heartbreaker Ramble On When The Levee Breaks ( i am sure others requested this already) Led Zeppelin has way too many great songs. You have enough materials to react to for sure. I remember you mentioned you are from the Bronx. I was from the Bronx as well. As you know LZ do not do live concerts any more, however there are many Led Zeppelin Cover bands. One that often visits New York is called Zoso. They usually play in late December and early January in Brooklyn Bowl. They usually do 2 shows and they are damn amazing. I catch them every year, Minus 2020 due to pandemic. I highly recommend them, check them out if you wish and still living in NY. EDIT: since you are looking for more bands, I suggest Black Sabbath (you can start with War Pigs, N.I.B, Iron Man, Paranoid). They are extremely huge and often cited as pioneers of heavy metal music.

No one talks about time metering changes and descending and ascending notes when they talk about popular bands ..only Led Zeppelin. I would throw in The Beatles. A total musicians band while selling 300 million albums being almost reclusive. Pure genius. As comparisons to Queen, to me it’s no contest, LZ had that mystery about them and their music gets better with age.

Diddy actually did this with Jimmy Page playing guitar. The live version from Knebworth in 1979 is great. The vocals and drum fills are excellent. If you want blues, try “You Shook Me”, “Tea for one”, “Nobody’s Fault but Mine”, “In My Time Of Dying”. For Rock, “Black Dog,”, “The Wanton Song,”, “The Rover”, “Heartbreaker”, “The Ocean”, “Dancing Days”. For Acoustic, “Going to California”, “Ramble on” is a combo of both acoustic and rock, “Hey Hey, What Can I Do?” That’s a nice little mix. They have so much music you could just about pick anything they have and it would be hard to pick a bad song.

Queen are coming? You’ve made me so happy! Don’t get me wrong, I clicked on this as soon as I saw it even without knowing it’s my favourite Led Zep song, but you had me at “Queen are coming “. Queen could and did, do every genre you can name from music hall and ragtime, to thrash metal and opera, so I hope you’re ready to go in with an open mind. They always put their all into their live performances, and since they were almost always better live, you can’t go wrong if you choose a live performance. The exception would be Bohemian Rhapsody. Because of the multi layered harmonies, it was impossible to replicate on stage, so for their live shows they always took a short break during the middle part and projected that part of the video on a screen and then came raging back on stage for the last part. So for that song, which was their biggest hit and is still regarded as a masterpiece to this day, I would suggest the official video first. Then Somebody to Love live at Montreal, which is obligatory for any reactor wanting to learn more about Queen. Sorry, rant over 🥰
