I feel like Black femininity isn't promoted anymore. I grew up to be dainty, to cook, to be softspoken, well mannered, elegant, eat well, cross my legs, etc. I unfortunately didn't see much of this from my fellow Black women growing up until I did pageants. I wish Black womanly femininity would be promoted more. I feel that women have been conditioned to be more masculine these days because of the lack of true male leadership; also many women have to take on masculinity to move into leadership roles in the workforce because of the absenteeism of men in the domestic home. Femininity and masculinity has changed over the years along with the socio-political atmosphere. They almost go hand in hand.

Growing up I did not have opportunities to see and mimic delicate, truly feminine women. My mother had to be the muscle when it came to disciplinary actions, because my stepdad refused to. I found it hard to be vulnerable around guys and didn't know how to act around the ones I liked. By high school, I had the feminine look down, but not the aura. I bought into feminist ideals and pretended I didn't care what men thought of me. Many people asked me if I was a lesbian. Its important for every straight black girl to be feminine because it makes dating ten times harder if we aren't. As a dark skinned black woman, I find that I have to pay extra close attention to how I dress and act because dark skin on a woman is already seen (across every culture) as masculine and unfit for respect.

Spot on observation Rom about the feminine woman, but we are sadly living in a time where 'femininity ' is not cultivated. Women are deceived into wanting to be great/successful in a male way and end up in a big mess. Masculine women are a huge turn off and feminine women are a rarity. What we are looking for here Rom is not the external adorning, but really the attitude of the heart - Where is that feminine intuition, sensitivity and nurturing which is so so so very attractive? It seems to be lost somewhere! God help us!

Question: Do you see any similarity or polarity between the increase of masculinity in women and the decrease of masculinity in men? Yes, women are taught to be self reliant because that is what life demands in these times. I have yet to meet a man that is ok with courting a woman without sex being involved fairly quickly. Back in the day women weren't overtly sexual, but men weren't so impatient either. I see parallels on both sides, and yes I am a woman. I also believe there is a different conversation that needs to be had. Women have to be in a double duality state most of the time because you never know what kind of man is approaching you. What is being ignored in this video, I believe, is that women aren't allowed to be vulnerable without being taken advantage of. No one protects us anymore. We are taught very early to be vigilant if you are alone at night, check your surroundings because we are prey(weaker sex).
@RomWills7 жыл бұрын
There is a big polarity issue. I will be getting deeper into this issue with a pay video in the next few weeks called, "Amazon Women and Shadow Men."

w leonard Looks are important and if you don't understand that women are more vain and judgmental than men. Hypergamy doesn't care if a man is nice, good, bad, or evil. First and foremost is he good looking and most importantly, does he arouse (confidence, assertive, doesn't take shit from anyone especially from her, take risks, executes, doesn't fold under pressure, courageous, leads) the woman (if so, can he sexually rock her world). Then it's about the man's provisioning abilities. Anyway, I wouldn't shun a woman who was disfigured in the event of an accident. Your question about my integrity assumes I made a commitment "for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part..." Your statement comes from a romanticized ideology that women want men to believe in. Yet, women's actions are contrary to such beliefs.

It's a shame that I know of an Amazon, she was beautiful and much more feminine than most of the so called ladies today, cooked, kept a clean environment and treated me as a king, I think the only reason why we didn't become a power couple is because I was recovering from a horrible marriage on my end, while on her end she was more of the friend type and would like to check out the same women I was attracted to. For men who feel like players to have more than one woman in the bed at the same time she would be perfect, just not for myself. I'm known for being masculine and dominant and as such even the Amazon adapted feminine behavior in my presence. Then it felt disengenuine and I chose to take time to focus on me and later seek feminine ladies after.

My husband had told me to stay back. He said he'd handle it. Instead I reacted. I felt bad and apologized to my neighbors. I certainly don't wamt my husband to feel like I'm acting like a man. It's just that on one hand I've been told that I'm a doormat. On the other I've been told that I'm too nice. How do I exuberate the necessary quality to be feminine without being weak? I have gone out one time with a chick that she has red hairs. I said why you don't use tour natural color (blond) and that is nice? She said I have to do it, cause it give me confidence especially in my place of work where I have to say at people what to do. I laugh at her face and never go out with again. Needless to say she told me she has a kid, the way she did it its like having a material thing, a bottle of whisky or something, not a human being.

Hello, Are there any materials for reading about soft femininity that you suggest? Thanks
@RomWills6 жыл бұрын
I haven't personally read any materials myself but there are women promoting femininity.

Rom Wills alright thankyou. I notice now as I get older that not all knowledge is taken down in books but its transfered from peraon to person. There are time I search for info online and nothing quite hits the mark but through convo or experience I get the "aha" moments. The women you mentioned, are they here on youtube?

Mrs. Widwest is a great source for becoming more in touch with femininity. She's a youtuber for this topic alone.
