Wonderful movie. First time I watched this movie was more than 40 years ago. Since then I've seen it a hundred times. Also since then I knew I wanted to come to new york city to see for myself the magical city. Full of surprices. I recommend this movie to everybody. A great family movie.

I remember my mother told me when I was a child that if I ever got the chance to see The Eddy Duchin Story to do so. A few months ago I was digging through some old VHS videos at my local thrift store and there I found it. I think I paid 25 cents for it. The other day I finally watched it and was so surprised. What a story! Something that no-one should miss. It's certainly a classic, and see - mothers ARE always right. This movie introduced me to Peter Duchin also, and I've found out that he was and is a great musician. I remember hearing his "Old Man Mose" when I was a kid and just never knew who he was. Now I know.

I saw this when I was in High School. The chop sticks scene is especially memorable as my sister play chop sticks every time we get together.....and in all the different keys!!! ....we have such fun. The music and the story still tug at my heart strings today, sixty years later. Thank God for wonderful music and stories they tell

My mother took me to see this movie when I was 9 years of age. I remember thinking to myself that it was some of the most beautiful piano music I had ever heard, and the story at that time had a profound effect on my young life.! A year later, I began piano lessons and went on to college to become a high school choral director, spending a good many years in the performing arts. A really good memorable movie such as "The Eddie Duchin Story" can leave a very good impression on an audience, and that certainly was the case with this story.
