What I like about the Bluegrass crowd is anytime there's room enough to form a loose circle, they're ready make some music.

I remember going bluegrass festival to bluegrass festival as a kid cause my dad was in a bluegrass band and I swear every fifty yards you could walk around the camps and there'd be another band playing another song.

Love these jams. Very nice violin. The singer was nice, a bit soft, but it works well in this tune.

Hey Joe, Thanks for listening. I don't know who the fiddle or mandolin player were. Me and my Granddaughter just happened to walk in the room where they were jamming and they were kind enough to let her sing one with them.They were really good. Maybe someone will chime in and let us know.
@joeosborn1237 жыл бұрын
Thanks Gary. He had to be a pro. That was a totally professional break.

Hi Joe. I believe the fiddler is Ray Cossin. He's a young guy from West Virginia and plays regularly with Johnny Staats and the Delivery Boys. I believe Ray was one of Johnny's students on the fiddle, who got so good at the fiddle that Johnny brought him on to play full time with his band. Johnny's banjo player, Butch, was my teacher for several years. I believe Ray plays some with the Clay Hess band... maybe full time now.

Ron blocks playing is so smooth and he's one of the best but I prefer the up and coming John Meyer for his style of playing. He's like Earl Scruggs on steroids.

Ron Stewart > John Meyer xD
@midnighttoker86635 жыл бұрын
John Meyer is very solid but he tends to roll down the neck all the time even over others breaks.
