I need to come by and film an update interview. I filmed your shelter at a survival expo back in 2012 and loved it. The escape hatch is smart.

I love the shelter. I’ve watched a few videos now. What I’m wondering is how the plumbing works? Does it connect to a water well or city water? Still it’s the best shelter I’ve seen so far.

I grew up in the Midwest, and in northern Iowa (and anywhere farther north) the ground will freeze down about 6ft - 7ft. Temps in July are about 85 - 95 with humidity around 80% - 90%...less than six months later by the end of November it's about 0-10 for a daytime high, -20 to -30 at night, with windchills as low as -50. These things must be able to withstand that kind of temp change, more than 100 degree difference in less than six months, and tons of precipitation.

Dude is a brilliant in fabrication awesome product I truly like the way he thinks if you turn on the news every day you hear about another natural disaster happening somewhere in our especially in our beloved heartland it’s truly smart thing to have one of these i know they recommend having your house on top of one of these things maybe if you could extend the entry way out so it connects somewhere in the house but yeah I would definitely get one of these for piece of mind tornados and storms ant no joke

You mate a best fallout shelter in this country
@Hiberniason6 жыл бұрын
So I'm having a house built and was thinking of laying one of these under the basement with the entrance near in the floor close to an outer wall and then the shelter would be built moving away from being under the house. Can that work or is that an engineering question? Basically, part of the mudroom, around 18 inches or so, would be under a section of load bearing basement wall that itself was in the ground... The mudroom would be ten or more feet under that wall... Anyway, any thoughts on that?
@TheRayweather5 жыл бұрын
In one of his video he explain this yes you can were you have the entrance to the bunker from inside your house. He even have a design for your kitchen were the middel island can move and the entrance is under it.

Are you able to put two shelters parallel side by side with adjoining section? What about a secure utility "pipe" for lack of a word to run HAM radio wiring and CCTV leads? I suppose the answer is yes, just depends on budget correct?

Yes they can put all that in if you need it.

Just use the shipping container and anti rust paint is much cheaper. The second hand will do. 8'x40' if put it in 3 parallel, the sizes will be 24'x 40'. It a luxury size of bunkers. Just add more container you can get more sizes just add pillar in it.
@michaelthomas31055 жыл бұрын
The thing is that shipping containers are only strong at the corners to "stack 'em high." The steel on them is only 1.6-2mm thick, and the floors are just wooden sheets clipped to steel C beams. They are designed to sink for insurance purposes. Anyone using a shipping container should know that the wooden floors are sprayed with anti-rot chemicals that could injure humans, It's best to rip that old wood out. Really, shipping containers need extensive reinforcing and waterproofing to safely bury them. As they come, they'd be no good as Faraday cages, due to the rubber door seals and wood floors.
@RJM10114 жыл бұрын
Shipping containers would cost a lot more as there is NO strength in the sides of them so you would have to build concrete blocks around them and also a concrete roof so they could be buried deep enough to work.

@@Blueguy72 why would you need permits? It's your own property you have rights to do what you want on it. And he emphasizes installing everything on your own because of the secrecy aspect. I wouldn't want anyone to know where my secret bunker is. And I am pretty sure the furniture comes with the price
@danielj56505 жыл бұрын
@@Blueguy72 You must own property that is in a residential area and in close proximity of neighbors then. If you have many acres in a desolate and rural area, you can dig all you want. @@thenerdnetwork Quite frankly if your in the shelter and not getting out, no one is really going to be trying to get in that hard. they'll already be dead, or to week to really try.
@watchoutz69697 жыл бұрын
Not really a good choice for the corrugated pipe, they are known to collapse and so that would mean you would die. The box shelter company also known as "Rising s bunkers" They don't have a radiation turn, but you wont get crushed to death. They also have concrete coated around the shelter too.
@augustinenguyen67037 жыл бұрын
WatchOutz the info on RSC website is really bias. Corrugated pipe is extremely strong structurally. The military uses it in their missile silos and it can be buried deep underground. The RAC bunkers may be surrounded in concrete, but it's only about 3 feet below the ground, making it a reinforced basement. The "collapsing" you refer to is from earthquakes. Do you're research.
@danielj56505 жыл бұрын
round shelters rely on the earth above them. They aren't taking all the weight because it is a round structure. The soil surrounds it
