Oh absolutely. You gotta have a little respect for how these people get over on these goofs. But it is despicable - guys like John Edwards - who prey on vulnerable ppl, looking for something on a young family member who recently died. That's really disgusting. But when they can smoke a mark like a Billy Staples - some fat fool munching on cotton candy in 1 hand, and tub of popcorn in the other hand - balloon tied to his chubby wrist.

@@july1730 Billy falling off the wagon, and preaching when he's sober is some of the best shit ever. check out the 'chicken parm sub" clip when Ron is encouraging him to start drinking when he gets cheated on again, or the "sponsorship of Billy" or "Billy knows best" clips when he's preaching to Fez, Rory, and Perrynoid is brilliant. cool list though, Al and Billy era is golden.

Billy was so emotionally stunted. Anyone who is still crying over their dad dying, more than 30 years later, is not well. It's the reason that he couldn't get his shit together. He just thinks, "Poor me. My dad died and my wife left me and my daughter.....". Always giving himself a reason to feel sorry and keep drinking.

Billy Staples is a drama queen and will spill his guts on national radio at the drop of a hat. He’s a remarkably stupid emotional individual who contacted the show to talk about his dads death. It took nothing to listen to the clips, find out who is and what he’s about. Not to mention the con works by shotgunning out random information. Billy is a narcissist and will believe anything as long as it makes him feel better or if he gets to use it as an excuse to play victim. Keep in mind this is America, and Americans will believe anything even kind of magical and refuse to acknowledge anything factual if it doesn’t sound good enough. I’m from the South and it’s like me telling a guy where I’m from and my heritage and get told: I’m seeing a guy named Ray? A guy who worked as a laborer? Something about Shrimp or seafood? Who has the Confederate Flag? Who has the truck? I’m seeing an older male figure who used to drink and get in fights in a small town This is common here and could apply to anyone, any age group, any race or heritage as long as it’s “Southern”. Rubes will volunteer info just like Billy did and skilled cons can pick up on this. I even tried it and got it some of right. One of the simpletons who said “You must have a the gift and you have to make a stand with god or the devil!” forgot that we’re cousins so I just knew this from talking to his dad. Yet was ready to look at me, an average to below average fella as a messenger of a god.
