There was no mandatory celibacy for Catholic priests for the first several hundred years, and confession to a priest wasn't mandatory until 1215, so these were never "eternal rules" to begin with. As a matter of fact, the Eucharist, which means Thanksgiving in Greek, is certainly a derivative of the Thanksgiving sacrifice or Korban Todah which Jews believe(d) would be the only sacrifice remaining once Moshiach (Christ in Greek) would come, because there wouldn't be any sin at that point, and of course it was turned essentially backward into the claimed Moshiach himself being perpetually offered as a sacrifice for sin.

Yeah Ron's just making shit up on the spot to support his desired belief. The first independent church in history was (and still is) the Lebanese Maronite Church, which is a Caltholic church in full communion with Rome. It's of the Antiochian Rite (rather than the Latin Rite, which is the one the Roman Catholic Chruch belongs to, and therefore roughly 95% of all Catholics globally), and still to this day the priests are not forced to be celibate and can get married, as is the case with all the Eastern (aka non-Latin) Catholic Rites, including the Alexandrian, Byzantine, Chaldean, Armenian, and the aforementioned Antiochian. This has always been the case throughout history, and the entire Antiochian Rite (and the Maronite Church in particular) is the specific blueprint on which the construction of the Latin Rite was based on, so once again, Ron is in way over his head on a subject he knows very little to nothing about, but just barrels forward in asserting his completely uninformed take as truth. I'm not really that surprised though as he's literally expressed disbelief before at the existence of the Coptic Orthodox Church in Egypt when a caller called up and mentioned it, and then immediately dismissed it's validity (in what to me came off to me as being a kidding-on-the-square-type sentiment, which was amusing but also revealed some likely genuine cultural chauvinism/Western Hubris that is perfectly understandable, but demonstrates why he's not really a sufficiently dispassionate source on information/a topic like this). He just wants to believe the way he was raised to do it was best (which is perfectly normal), but then the flaws of that bias are compounded by the fact the he's not nearly as intelligent nor as informed as he or his sycophantic droogies would have you believe. This situation (which includes being in an environment where everyone knows he's too fragile to ever be challenged) creates a perfect storm for him to go around saying things like that the current rules of the Roman Catholic Church are "the eternal rules" that any Catholic has always had to follow, and then for it to subsequently not be contested by anyone around him except for a caller or two, whose superior information will be shot down on site merely because of the fact that if it were true it would contradict what Ron just said (and therefore wound his ego).

The average kid in America starts 2nd grade at age 7 and by the end of the school year turns 8, and even if that weren't true (which it very much is), what difference does it make? What a bitter lunatic you are, not to mention myopic if you assume since your Catholic high school didn't offer communion that means his Catholic high school didn't either, or that since you got first communion at 7-8, that means you can ONLY get your first one between ages 7-8 (one of my cousins got his at 6 and another one got his at 12). Faith is difficult for those who are arrogant and stupidly presume that they know vastly more than they do. I have used the analogy of the Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers movie in its theatrical form to try and convey this point., though there are many other movies, games, etc. about which people presume they have all the information, and thus conclude that there are discrepancies, but The Curse of Michael Myers is the best case of which I am aware that shows how wrong those people are. The way in which it does so is that in addition to the theatrical release, there was ALWAYS a producer's cut. People didn't always have ready access to the producer's cut, but nonetheless, IT EXISTED. The producer's cut makes sense out of the things that, again, arrogant and presumptuous viewers of the theatrical version concluded unjustifiably were contradictory and made no sense in general. The same goes for God and the fullness of reality. You can't conclude that something is nonsensical because of what you DO know when what you DON'T know could resolve any ostensible problem.
