Probably a tired statement, but anyone working in radio and adding as much on air material as ESD was during these years, should never be making less than 100-150 grand a year. Especially on a highly rated show, in NYC. For a company like Sirius XM to have him struggle over a bus pass to get there is fucking ridiculous.

SiriusXM is notorious for fucking all their employees over. They pay Stern out the ass to give them any sense of popularity (even though no one has listened to Stern since 2010) and everyone else gets way less than they realistically should be making. Anthony has said he made single digit millions on his contracts with Sirius/XM when he would re-sign to those short deals Opie made them get. O&A were arguably more popular then Stern towards the end of O&A ('09-'14) and should have been making more money than him IMO for sheer amount of popularity

There were always a bunch of changing reasons why Dave's wife couldn't work and he didn't get pissed off about the daycare suggestion right when it came up. I think that his wife wanted to be a stay at home mom, he was embarrassed that he couldn't make the single income thing work, and she got in his ear about Fez getting involved in their life.

Dirk Diggler That's what really turned me off to her years ago. One day they said she had neighbors watch the kids because she was sick, yet she was online. If you're well enough to be online you can take care of your own kids.

I could buy that it was a nice, generous offer if Fez wasn't acting so holier than thou in this clip. He cries because he's offended, but he's only offended that he isn't being praised enough for his act of sainthood. And then there was the passive aggressive shot that he could have just given him the money for his bus fare, which is what Dave really wanted and why he ended up having to quit the show.

Dave was amazing on air but he was such a self destructive mother fucker. Rushed into marrying the first girl he banged after West Side dumped him, knocked her up twice, then demanded a raise because kids are expensive. Like, no shit Dave, why have kids when you aren't in the position to financially afford them? Imagine if he just took things slowly, he'd still probably be working with Ron like Pepper.

I'm probably in the minority here but I genuinely hated ESD, dude was a snake that took any slight opportunity he got to battle against Fez over any ticky tack shit he could grasp onto because he was desperate for the spotlight even though he'd never admit it. He was always like a little kid trying to impress Ron with his BS, then when he'd overstep he'd get all faux remorseful to cozy up to Fez again. Dude was a vulture. His fans will claim that's his shtick, it's a work, etc. but nah, he's just a prick. Probably why Pepper doesn't talk to him anymore, supposedly.
