I can understand people who don't like Ron's style, but I think people forget that comedy is like music. Saying you don't like his style is a reflection of your tastes, just like saying you don't like jazz or country or whatever it happens to be. There are comics who do blue humor, absurd humor, political humor, dry humor, etc. There are plenty of "great comedians" I just don't get. Doesn't mean they aren't great. I will never get David Bowie, or David Letterman, but that doesn't mean they aren't important. Having said all that, Ron makes me smile and laugh. If you are grumpy about his act, calm down, and go kiss a puppy's butt. It will help, promise.

I was once completely caught off guard by identical twins. One of them was in the band I was in but I didn't know she had a twin. So I'm watching one of them play on stage then I walk backstage while they are still playing and the same person wearing a different outfit was in the green room. For that half a second where I didn't make the connection that they are identical twins it was the craziest shit I've ever seen.

Geees tough crowd here. stand-up is not a easy thing to do at all. So don't judge so harshly. Never judge a person only on 1 interaction. This might not have been that funny(to some people) but he is a really funny guy. Just look him up. I've seen/heard things from him that had me tears laughing. Comedy is tough and you're not gonna be on every single time. Even the most respected and popular comedians will tell you that.

He did a really great set from Put Your Hands Together with Bobcat Goldthwait a while back as well, but I think it got pulled from youtube. The Helium set is super funny, and you can find it pretty easily. I wasn't a huge fan of this stuff and a few of his other jokes in his Half Hour, but hey, he is still growing!
