That would have been treated way before it could cause Swiss Cheese Brain. The adult film industry tests for VD every other week and before that tested every 30 days since the late 1990's. If Ron had VD before going to jail it would certainly have been treated before that point. If he had got it in jail, some guard would have been forced to pay the price for it.
