Lovely Suite of Renaissance dance miniatures ... the Intrada is a boisterous, brassy fanfare; the Pavane is stately and beautiful; the Sarabande is tender, nostalgic, dreamy, and equally gorgeous; the ending dance nicely matches the brassy energy of the opening Intrada. Love Nelson's populist music for wind ensemble !!!!!!

As soon as I heard the Intrada, I knew I was going to enjoy this "courtly" quasi-pastiche. And, indeed, I did!

Percy Graingerish. Nice but strangely not like some of his other works in my opinion. A bit British, rather then American in sound.
