Best manager in the game.. has been for a LONG time so glad to see him back in the manager chair where he belongs. Living in TX now being so close to the Rangers stadium I get to see him a few times a year now. I would run through a wall for that guy. Great show brothers.

Crazy it took him that long!! Some plp with no experience get it right away!! The other one is Kai Correa… great infield coach, becomes interim head coach, then the Giants find someone else and let him go!! 🤷♂️

Hoz and boyz, this is by far my favorite episode, and you have had some amazing shows. But Ron Washington is one of the most inspirational leaders in baseball, and this interview has made me a believer. Who wouldnt run through a wall for this guy and those like him? As a high school teacher, I want to be a leader like Wash for my students. If I end up as a principal someday, I want my school culture to emulate the same principles of communication, commitment, effort, attitude, and trust. Well done, guys. Excellent interview. Way to let the man cook! I learned so much. I am better for having listened to you all you guys in this episode. So much imparted wisdom. This is exactly what you want Diggin' Deep to be. I love baseball so much, but this is about so much more than baseball. Keep up the good work! Thank you for what you do! Go Royals! -Heath

I’m glad this podcast was on my feed. This was refreshing. These are the type of men that you need to learn from and be around. Old school, no none sense, take care of your responsibilities types. I’ve followed these for a while and have always respected how they go about business. It was only a matter of time before they got another opportunity. As a father, I’d be honored to have my son tutored by them. I’m rooting for the Angels to have success.

Great podcast. The only thing I would suggest is to work on how the questions flow out during the conversation. I felt that sometimes questions were asked and they interrupted the flow of the conversation or took it away from where it was at. Nonetheless, great to see you guys articulate and have great convos.

If you don't like Ron Washington, you are the problem. I sat beside the Angels dugout in Baltimore last week about 10 ft from Mr. Washington. By the 2nd inning of the first game he was my favorite coach of all-time. The way he communicated with his players is ZERO bullshit from top to bottom. Commands respect without forcing it. Hard to do with guys making millions playing a game.

When EY played for my Padres in 2005, the players called him "The Judge" bcuz he was one of those vets on the team that kept everybody in line...they won a division that season. And Wash' is "my Uncle in my head" ...he just don't know it. Two of my favorite cats in the game, bcuz they gon' "keep it a buck" with you 24/7. If you want some bullshit, don't step to them, bruh.

Would love a 2014-2015 boys in blue interview, and to touch on the ventura topic. I as a lot of royals fans felt that spark leave. And it's taken years to rebound from that. Would love to hear from the perspective of the guys that were in the clubhouse.

Coaches should be baseball experts educated in analytics. They should the experts in the wisdom gained through experience but be able to understand the information goes comes from the scientists who crunch numbers. The number crunchers have no clue on how the game actually works but they are brilliant mathematicians etc often they come up with BS that is not actually practical or even wrong even though their analytics say otherwise. The same happens in physics and medicine etc . That's why things have to be tested before they are implemented, most theories are wrong even when they are based on data.
