All Facts No Brakes with Keyshawn Johnson

Ай бұрын

2x World Champion, 3x All Star, and Braves Hall of Famer David Justice joins Keyshawn Johnson on “All Facts No Brakes.” To start things off, David talks about growing up in Cincinnati and how he got into playing baseball after excelling in basketball first. He recalls what it’s like for young Black players coming up, his career with the Atlanta Braves, and being teammates with Deion Sanders when he played an NFL & MLB game in the same day. David also talks about the inaccuracies in ‘Moneyball,’ the Oakland Athletics moving to Sacramento, and the decline of Black players in MLB. The guys wrap up debating whether Barry Bonds belong in the Hall of Fame, and if the MLB should switch to robot umpires.

Can't believe this is still getting discussed more than a MONTH after federal investigators already provided 37 pages of their findings. Besides various evidence including voice logs "impersonating Ohtani to authorize wires", simple fact is that money always only went out of Ohtani's account, and never in despite Mizuhara making hundreds of bets over time and won some of his bets. All the wins were always only transferred to Mizuhara's account. Anyone that still thinks Ohtani was somehow betting, or willingly helped to cover the debts is just an IDIOT or Ohtani basher. End of story

Great interview, and David Justice is a legend, but he’s wrong on the why MLB is doing those Baseball academy in Latin America and not in USA. Is not that they don’t want to do it, it just that if you are a foreigner you don’t have to the draft, you can sign a contract with the team, but if you are american born, you have to go to the draft, and any team can pick you. But those team spend money developing a player in latin america they can sign it when they are 16 years old for litle money.

Great interview, and big ups to Keyshawn for this, but David Justice really needs the Club Shay Shay treatment. The race issues, media bs, and the excellence that was this man's career needs an uninterrupted conversation with hard edged and well-researched questions like the kind Unc delivers. I can easily listen to David Justice for 3 hours straight, and that's saying a lot considering as a Dodger fan I hated his guts in the 90s.

Both pitchers and batters were using "stuff" during that era. Doesn't that mean it was a level playing field??? That fact does not get discussed enough when so much of the focus is placed on bloated offensive numbers. Barry DOMINATED. Pitchers were freaked out when they had to pitch to him with the game on the line. He got intentionally walked with the bases loaded!!! I've never seen fear like that in baseball coming from offense. Usually that kind of fear comes from pitchers like Randy Johnson, Nolan Ryan, Bob Gibson and a couple of others. Barry definitely should be in the HOF.
