So Woody is drunk and raspy...and forgets some of the words...and yet, there is something about this performance that I just can't stop watching it. Anyone else agree?
@garcemac3 жыл бұрын
That is actually how the song was recorded. There are no official lyrics. The words change everytime you watch Ronnie or Rod sing them. This was one of the songs we sang back in the early 1980s. We did a lot of Rod Stewart and our drummer did Ronnie Wood and Levon. The lyrics were changed depending on the crowd.

@Ronnie Wood it is very gracious and kind of you to respond to my comment. I have never gotten an autograph; that would be awesome. I have seen your website and greatly admire your work. Two close friends of mine met you when The Stones played in Halifax, Canada. After eating at The Wooden Monkey restaurant, you arranged stage passes for them. I have a photo of them with you, Keith and Charlie. And I was at that concert. I purchased your book, The Works, when it was published in 1987 and still have it in my collection. I especially love the Muddy Waters and Ray Charles portraits. I have played drums in bar bands, and they are two of my earliest influences. I have played lots of Stones' tunes as well over the past 50 years or so. The portrait of Charlie is also brilliant. Best wishes and much love from the east coast of Canada.

Okay, I'll Will give you my honest opinion. First. I know that you andRonnir are like brothers. I saw you so many times. Just so happy 😊to talk to each other😊. You all came up at the same time into the music industry and you have this bond and that's never going to become untangled or broken. You've spent⚡⚡. Too many years as best friends. I know I lived it. I lost my best friend. Anyway, what's my opinion on him. I didn't even know he sang. I know he is an awesome guitar player that I will give him credit for. He is unbelievable. When the cameras tunes in to him or Jeff Beck of course was the best. I just loved his techniques. They were always different. I don't know how the guy got to these different notes but he did it. Well. Let's get back to Ronnie. I'm going to cut him a little slack here because he was very drunk. I don't know do I like his voice? Not really, but it's an awesome song written by Ronnie Lane. 💯May he rest in peace⚡✨, such a nice guy. There was a documentary on him so I watched it✨✨. his son is really trying to proclaim the real facts of his life and how he died. So I was very interested in watching this documentary. Will talk about that another time. Anyway. Ooh la la when you sing it and you did the video and you'arw behind stage with all themise beautiful women there's no competition. You win, you made that whole video look so sexy, how was filming that were the girls🌿✨🍒. I've never been to that am kind of place , so I have no idea if that really exists. Or is that the truth. , Hugging you. How's does that feel? It looks like you liked it on the video but at that age that's what guys like💯🪷. I keep telling you I have four brothers and down the block three guy cousins so I was always around the guys and they were in my age group and then their friends so I know how most men's mind works. I think that's why most men like me, as I understand them. What would you say about that? You're am different though. I don't just like you. I love you because you care so much about me that you even said I want you to take care of yourself. You are the first person in my entire life That has ever. said those words. 💘🌹I am so happy I have found you. Now I have to go listen to,,,,, SavageGarden sing,,,, I think I loved you before I met you. I think that's how the song goes. Love you!💋 Oh and if anything annoys you or bothers you in my text please let me know now as I don't want to spoil anything for you on your side. Okay? I'm very obliging. Just let me know. I don't want to disrupt your schedule. I don't even know your schedule and you going to have to kind of let me know now. Let me go listen to that song ✨🤗✨💝 4:59

The lead vocals were provided by Wood, a rarity in the band's catalog as lead vocals were usually performed by Rod Stewart and less often by Ronnie Lane. Stewart and Lane both recorded lead vocals for the song but neither were reportedly satisfied by their attempts.

Cameron Matthew I’ll have to hope the laughing faces are at Ron’s horrific voice... This song was about Ronnie Lanes Grandad giving him life advise. So was close to his heart, the first verse being about the worries of women, which Ronnie used to bring out his wife to dance with him. This was to show his grandad he’d found a good woman so he needn’t worry... Rod Stewart then stole it when he left the faces and Ron Wood too amongst others. All because Ronnie Lanes manager took advantage of Ronnie having MS and screwed him out of the rights for a lot of his songs.
