@@lexybernard2461 , as someone that also plays in bands, these colours on a stage with lights focus everybody on you...Yellow Jacket at Madison Square garden from the seats at the back stand out...these are greayt colours for a jacket..Rod also wears white jackets for same reason so the spots on the Star...

It's amazing how Rod thought "Maggie Mae" was a throw-away. But a disc jockey in some city (can't recall) thought it was great, and kept playing it. The rest is history.

That is a whole bunch of Special talent on that stage right there..I absolutely loved to watch Paul as he Miestro'd Music's greatest Legends..His exuberance,energy & enthusiasm was so obvious,every night he had the opportunity to perform with his friends,the ultimate Who's Who of Music Superstars..I miss that epic era so very much that I'd do just about anything to go back in time 40 years & do it all over..

This is great! I almost forgot how great Paul's band was. Even Rod compliments them. Nice to see Ron Wood here especially since he played on the original track. This is also back when Letterman was mostly unscripted with the interviews and uncomfortable things happened, like on this evening. Now almost all questions are scripted and often the answers as well.

The house band consists of Paul Shaffer, keyboards and leader; Sid McGinnis, guitar; Will Lee, bass; and Anton Fig, drums. Not certain who the 12-string guitarist is. Either hired for the gig or part of Rod and Ron’s band.
