Well, those were good times for America and he was elected in 1984 with 49 of 50 states so not sure how you can say, as otherwise people wouldn’t have voted for him.

@jamescallaghan7478 haha very funny If he's good why is he under indictment for multiple cases, losing support over the GOP, lost 2 midterms and 2 popular votes in 2 presidential elections? The only good thing he did was boost the military budget and focused US attention on China. Everything else either foreign or domestic was shit (especially after Covid).

@@DingleDangle66 Trump was a good president, yes. But he kind of had a Ego, that at times didnt play so well. He can do that in Campaign and public events yes, but while hes at the White House, he cant be doing that.

Reagan really claimed that it took him until 1962 to see that the party of FDR didn't want to shrink the federal government. Dude would have to be slow as shit.

He actually voted for Nixon in 1960 and I imagine he probably voted Eisenhower twice. He made the switch because after JFK’s assassination the Democratic Party really only focused on growing government. I say all this, the Republicans over the last 40 years have hardly scaled back government either.

No, that isn’t what about ism, it is just addressing the assertion, that the only reason Reagan became a republican is that it is the party of the wealthy elites as opposed to the Democratic Party, which obviously isn’t true.

Marcus aurelius was a very very smart man..a visionary..he could put 2 and 2 together..apparently you cant..in just 2 yrs we reached unfathomable inflation,car loans, mortgage loans are at imposible rates, people flocking to Dollar stores to buy groceries, gas prices,water,energy bills doubled, tripled,stock markets are catastrophically down, people are using their 401K plans to pay monthly bills, poverty is worse then ever,crime and homelessness went thru the roof..there is your answer about disappearing middle class..nothing visionary here..

@@yaro1401 You didn't include the George W., and Donald Tax Cuts. Bush did it 3 times because Republicans controlled both Houses. Republicans also have blocked a minimum wage increase since the last one in July, 2009. Ever seen my site? Ever ask yourself how much Taxes th Fortune 500 pay since those 3 Cut them? Their profits are high but NOT their Taxes (many; not at all). The working stiffs pick up the costs of War and Infrastructure while the rich just get richer.

Actually, Reagan switched parties because of the Democrat’s focus on civil rights. He actively opposed the Civil Rights act and endorsed Barry Goldwater, the Republican candidate in 1964 that supported segregation and voted against the civil rights act. Reagan is the third worst president we have ever had, and that’s saying something.
@Thatonecopypasta

Reagan joined the Democratic Party at the height of its liberalism, Reagan himself a member of the extremely powerful unions of the New Deal Era, you can scarcely claim that the democrats were somehow a remotely Conservative Party at any point after 1932, or that they had moved any further left than they had been at their height.
