Fantastic, I have attended their concert at Warsaw Summer jazz Days 2002 or 2003. Vernon is so cool. Me and my friend went back stage, because I am a big RSJ fan, but we weren't allowed (and didn't want to trespass anyway) into his/band's room, someone told us that Ronald was tired and wouldn't come out to see us. But the doors were open to the band's room and Vernon saw us and came outside to talk with us, ask what we needed. So we told him, and I said that maybe I could give him at least a cd for Ronald to sign. And he took the cd went back with Ronald's autograph on it and... Ronald followed him to say hi to us and shake our hands. It was one of the biggest moments of my life if not the biggest. Actually, because it was so long ago, I can't quite remember exactly whether he brought us singed cd and Ronald followed him over, or if he convinced Ronald to come over to see us and so he came and signed the cd directly from me. Nevertheless, we got the handshake and I have this cd signed to this very day :) And the next day we came to see Vernon at outdoors concert of Living Colour and talked to him the second time. As to Melvin Gibbs, I already got to know him from the year before when he came with his own trio, but he is a more reserved, introvert type, nonetheless also cool and polite and patient (to us, then just barely 20 yrs of age, harassing jazz musicians at any occasion we got.).

Interesting point made below. Not unremiscent of Tony Williams Lifetime trio with Mclaughlin and Young. Different but similar raw energy. Thanks.
