@@PrimordialEconomics He's 100% underrated. Underrated implies he should be heard more and exposed to more. He's not a "big name" he should be. You will be lucky if you ever meet someone who knows who the hell is? I usually get, "Oh that Warcraft guy that runs into battle!?" ...No, that's Leeroy. That's sort of the problem he's done some jingles, and you don't even know who it's by. But probably know Leeroy, depending on your age. Just a question how do you know he has bags? What's considered bags? A million? Or 10's? Because I'll be surprised if he has over 1.5 million with all his net worth combined. I never got the feeling he cared much about it in general.

Ronald the arpeggio you play on the bridge at 1:50 just blows me away, I could listen to it until the end of time. The variations you embed are perfect and to watch you play it on auto-pilot with that right hand while your mind is on what you need to do with your left hand next just blows me away. Massive what's going on there. Just Massive. Seriously, when you finally poke that Bb on the last pass of the high arpeggio my mind is totally blown away by it's perfection. Look, if you ever need a kidney, let me know. ;)

Yeah, Ronald is The Guy playing arpeggios. I seriously think that was a basis for how he came up playing as largely self taught. He hammered them so much he can do them all over the keyboard, use original and catchy patterns, and it's the basis I think for a lot of his runs... way jealous of that... he really has a seemingly endless gift of Hook.
@brianmi408 жыл бұрын
You'll like this. Ronald has always reminded me of Progtronic. Also came up self taught, just likely a little before Ronald, and became a monster player in his own way. Ended up doing game theme music just like Ronald. Discovered him as winner of Keyboard Magazine's Reader Soundpage contest with a SCORCHING piece he wrote and played on keyboards in '92. He was a happy occupant on MP3.COM before it got bought out and killed off essentially so that we have Bandcamp today... Lots of good artists died with MP3.com... But check out Aliens Among Us, his seminal work, all played on keyboards by just him: yes, there is ZERO GUITAR on this track. progtronic.bandcamp.com/track/aliens-among-us I dare say Jan Hammer would have cringed to hear that back in the day, because Jan was the man back then but Progtronic likely could have filled in for him at any session he was booked into! (Jan did all the Miami Vice stuff...) AND OMG, that was 1992 for chris' sake and listen to the qualilty of that synthesized distorted guitar he's using (I read he used real guitar effects outboard to get his sound)!!!! His full story: www.progtronic.com/about.html Ronald and Progtronic, that would be a collaboration!

The greatest compliment I can give to this is that the first time I heard it, it felt like I was already totally familiar with it. By that I don't mean that it was predictable or boring, far from it, I just mean that it was so instantly classic, it just sounded so 'right', that it felt like it was already in my brain, waiting to come out. It takes a great musician to reach into your mind and give voice to the music that is already there.

This is f*cking incredible. How can someone be this chill and talented? I mean seriously, I watch thousands of videos of whatever BS every week, and I never stop to comment. This one blew my mind. You, sir, are unfathomably good at what you do.

Hey Ronald, hopefully you still read these comments on old videos because I don't know if anyone has ever told you this but you have a gift from God and it's truly amazing being able to see the gift he has given to you to be flourishing and being put to use in such a way as it is. You bring inspiration and minister to thousands with your gift and that is something to be thankful for and proud of for sure. You know, Jesus loves you more than any human could ever love another human being or anything really. He's the one who gave you the gifts and abilities you have. It's just blows my mind and is so awesome to see His love thru you. I know you don't know me, but I am proud of you and thankful for you man. You are a gifted blessing from God and, not that you will, but don't ever forget how much God loves you and cares about you and the things you care about because He does! Love ya brother and God bless!

Soooo... this guy is a genius. No other way to describe it. I am a very proficient piano and keyboard player... but listening to him, am I actually? He makes me question my own talent because he is leagues ahead of my abilities. Another great listen is the keyboardist from children of bodom!! Check out their music

Can you do some videos w/ just the launchpad? I have one and I'd love to see your skills!

Daniel Jarvis I don't have any skills with it. I just needed it to trigger a jump point in the song while simultaneously recording everything. Would love to get good at it though!

mister jenkees, if I could buy that shirt off of you right now, I would. Your music has brought me out of the most painful and depressing funks that my mind and soul can endure with a single note, a single beat.. with a single "hello KZbin's," knowing that what's to follow is like heaven.. heaven to my ears, my thoughts, my heart, my mind, my soul, and my body falls right into place with it. You are blessed, and through your blessing, you bless me. thank you so much for everything you have put out into this world. thank you so very, very much!
@ronaldjenkees7 жыл бұрын
+jlaiely Thanks!! But you most likely bring yourself out of the funk when it hits and my music happens to sometimes be in the background (for which I'm grateful). Credit is to you! 👊🏾 ❤️
