Perhaps the pairing of strings is to safe confusion for beginners. It would be easy to confuse the E and A, or the B and E, being pretty close in size.

I bought them for 3,5 euro and they are OK, not sure why some complain, they perform like any regular nickel wound strings.

Thanks for the review! At the price of these strings, I'm not so sure I'm worried about presentation or packing. If you're buying 25 sets of strings at a time, you're paying $50. As opposed to well made expensive strings like D'Addario NYXLs, whose 25 pack is @ $235. That's 470% increase in price for better quality, better presentation, more accurate string gauge size, and longer lasting. My take is that these are great for band practice or noodling at home. For recording, not so much.

Martin Darco wants a large enough contrast so you can't make a mistake when you are mounting them.

Darco is a brand from Martin guitars. Mexican made but Martin is a shareholder in the company. Witch I'm almost certain.

It's the correct way to put on the string. Start from center or outer edges to put even tension on the neck.

I would guess the strings are paired wound string with unwound string to minimize shipping damage (two wound strings rubbing against each other)

I was curious about this brand so I bought 3 packs and all I gotta say is what you have said was true, plus I broke the 1st string on the first tuning which made me have to open the second pack. It didn't last long like 2 weeks of playing and 3rd string snapped (yes I pluck pretty hard)

I used Darcos back in the 90s in a big fat 10pk box, in their old Purple and Yellow packaging sans-raven. Good thing because i went thru the whole box in no time lol I use D'addario NYXL almost exclusively now and they are phenomenal

They lasted 3 days on my guitar, just like any other uncoated strings for me. Think they're ok.

Try Elixer nanowebs, they are a little pricey but they are tough.

I tried darco string today for the first time, and I'm really disappointed. There's no flexibility like other guitar strings, and the string is so hard, I'm even afraid to tune it. No more darco string in the future.Thank you Mexico for the darco string.🇲🇽
