I have a Coors goblet that was my grandpa's that dates back to the 1960s. He died in 1975 of a heartattack and was an alcoholic but he loved Coors! I was born in the late 1980s and thankfully I'm not that, but I'm glad I have his goblet. I also love Coors Banquet! I've always found the Coors' family history fascinating

Hi Jay, as you'd noted- in Canada we now get the locally brewed, "Coors Original". Not so long ago however, Molson Coors was importing "Banquet" in both stubby bottle and can format. I still feel the Banquet brew has a better taste, though "Original" isn't bad.

I first had it in April of 2014 when i was 21 years old which was a Friday night and I loved it its now brewed here in Canada. I saw Coors Banquet in 30 packs in USA when I went to California to vist my family in May of 2023 or in other nearby American states such as Washington state Bellingham Seattle I may pick some up next time I'm in the USA. Unfortunately we can't buy 30 packs of Beer and take it back to Canada. At least in Vancouver where I live but you can do this in Ontario for some reason.

Hi Ron, I noticed you mentioned that Coors Light is cold filtered and unpasteurized. Does this make it Draft? I know that with Miller Genuine Draft that is the process that makes it Draft. Your thoughts on this and any other beers that are cold filtered unpasteurized you know of that would be considered Draft in a can but it's not marketed like that
@ronaldtheriot Жыл бұрын
Yes, I would consider it a packaged draft product, Mark Brayton, but there could be some processing step that I am not understanding. Thanks for watching. I appreciate it!

Don't if you knew this or not but Banquet cans are slimmer and taller than your typical 12 ounce Miller, Bud, etc. cans. They are still 12 ounces but are taller to accommodate standard American style portable coolers. +1 in my book for Coors beers.

Coors Banquet is brewed using a combination of two-row barley, corn, and hops. It has a smooth, crisp taste with a slight sweetness and a hint of bitterness with a clean finish. Coors Banquet has a light to medium body and a golden color with a frothy head. Coors Original, on the other hand, is brewed using only two-row barley and hops, with no added corn or other adjuncts. It is a robust yet easy-to-drink beer, with a slightly bitter finish. Coors Original is also a lighter-bodied beer with a more crisp and refreshing taste and a lower ABV of just 4.2% compared to the stronger beer of Coors Banquet.
