I was WRONG about the Apple Watch Ultra Trail Loop | COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW again...

I recently bought the new Apple Watch Ultra 2 and I got it with the Trail Loop in blue/black. Blue/Black is the new colour for 2023! The strap is really nice and it's the softest Apple Watch band I've ever felt! I made a review video about it already and I talked about how I was a little disappointed with it. But after using it for a while longer, I feel like I was wrong about it in my last video. I wanted to make this video to set the record straight!

The Trail Loop is easy to adjust, put on and off, and is super comfortable to wear. It is insanely expensive until you compare it to cheaper third party alternatives, where the quality of the Apple Trail Loop becomes apparent. The Ocean Band is the sensible option if out and about in wet and muddy conditions and a third party Titanium band for formal occasions. The Trail Loop is the band you will find yourself wearing for day to day activities simply because it is so comfortable and convenient. As for the Apple Watch Ultra 2, well the battery life and robust construction make it worth the cost. A series 9 in stainless steel and sapphire glass costs nearly the same and still has half the battery life and no action button.

Yeah I wear my Trail Loop a lot as a regular day to day band. I go between it and the ocean band a lot right now. It’s a very convenient band. The stainless steel option for the Apple Watch Series isn’t available in Ireland. They only offer the aluminium. But I would agree that the the Ultra 2 is a better option both for features generally, and value for money.

I feel that the base material of the Alpine Loop would have been a great choice for Apple to make an iPhone case from, rather than the ill-fated Finewoven.

I haven’t really tried those fine woven cases. But I know people don’t seem to like them… But a case from that material for the Alpine Loop would be lovely.

The Alpine loop edge that has the achieve, one is folded and has the 49MM written on it when turned over, often comes off. I had two bands that had this happened. I got one more that is new but i know its going to slowly start to come undone. I don't recommend it at all.

All the bands are but ugly and the ultra 2 (see what I did there) I bought the whole package shortly after your last video and I hated it ever since I’ve been in denial on and off as to weather I like it or I don’t I’ve landed on the conclusion if I have had to think and rethink about it that much then i clearly not satisfied… I can from series 6 to ultra 2 in pursuit bigger battery strong enough do I can ditch my iPhone Final thoughts the ultra models is are top heavy with its model bands being so light it’s an unbalanced But not too much a big deal As for battery, it’s just not there and barely do and extreme activity usage Connectivity is just as slow and inconsistent as any of the watch-phone device on the market. At least here in the uk Siri is fast and response some of the time but is just as usual as its been for time Finger tap is gimmick it’s not very useful at all as it’s limited to minor functions like scroll the widget view and dbl answering incoming calls about 80% of the time and decreasing (don’t what that’s about) Ending calls forgot it 🤦🏿‍♂️ There’s time if bloatware in here that’s never in use Screen nice and bigger is but that bezel is ridiculous. It’s nice and bright great with AirPods Max and responsive for pausing media with apple tv or HomePod It’s but ugly and there’s no excuse for how ugly it is. It’s not subjective it’s ugly full stop all the extra feature are sort telling you there’s a release coming the will look closer to similar no ultra watches with same if not better battery battery chip and at that point what the hell do we need this weird thing for bcs it’s not going to be the thing we look back on and think was stunning. We all really wanted a bigger watch face and battery battery and processor and after that all this extra bloatware is redundant. The action button is just for flashlight people cmon 🤷🏿‍♂️ Don’t use it on the watch haven’t changed it on the phone either 🤷🏿‍♂️ big waste of money I’ll hope back to a 9 and the covered display til Apple proves me right and makes this whole experiment or circus with the ultra redundant

I REALLY like how the Ultra looks. I really like how the three bands look for it too, and I know I’m not the only one, so I’d say it is subjective after all. But you’re absolutely entitled to your opinions and to feel the way you do about the Apple Watch Ultra. I agree with you, Apple will eventually bring out a design refresh on the entire watch line, and the Ultra may well end up looking like a bigger version of the standard watch, or be discontinued at that point. Although, as long as it’s selling, I think it’ll continue. (I use my action button for workouts, and I use it almost every day 😂😂) I’m sorry the Ultra isn’t doing it for you. Hopefully you’ll get something that suits you better, or the next watch line in September has something for you. Thanks for watching. I appreciate it!! 😊
