Really enjoyed this three part series... Also the philosophy about leaving the least footprint and preserving things as you find them comes through time and time again... To be congratulated for both... Thanks again!

My new favourite overlanding show! I appreciate all the angels you're filming from. I know it's a lot of extra work. I am trying to document my overland trip through Central America/Mexico at the moment, but often get so caught up in driving the dirt and getting where I am going I forget to take the time to get different angles. Anyway, it's a learning prosses and I thank you for the inspiration.

Have been to the homestead a few times and is always really interesting. The second homestead was abandoned in the 60's and is called Mt. Sandiman Shearing shed. The drive to the west side of the range is always fun. The Local owners were all known and would often give us the best info. Hector bore-Honeycomb gorge track though has not been driven in a few years. We have always been keen to try and get back with less wheels and make a go of it. Great Video as always Ronny & Brian!!!

It's amazing! Especially in part 1 where the Kangaroo came across the trail haha. I just love it when you guys reach an obstacle of some kind, and you explain it. A lot of these "overland" videos, I think it's just dudes with a lot of money driving around. They don't actually know much beyond "here's how much my tires were." But I always learn something from your videos. Great work!

Hey Ronny. Thanks for taking everybody out on your trips. I really enjoy your videos, as I had no opportunity to visit Australia yet. But, there are meanwhile some questions. Who the hell is your drone pilot? The drone footage is really great. What kind of drone do you use for these clips? Do you always first have to find out, who's the owner of the land you're going to cross and inform them? Then you got quite a lot of investigation to do before you can start. Is there something like "illegal wild camping" in Australia or is it leag to put up camp wherever you like? And then I was a little surprised when you introduced your team (about 6:00" to 10:00"). To me it looked a little, as if you're visitng some neighbors on some campsite. Everybody had his own dinner and their own (seperated) camp. This didn't look like a group of "good old friends" who do the cooking for the group and stay closer together with their tents and cars. Is it always like that, that everybody does his own thing when driving in a group? But, at the end it's important, that everybody gets the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful scenery and knows that there will be help during such an off-road-trip when needed. I'm looking forward to watching many more videos. Enjoy the outdoors and continue with your movies. They are just perfect. Best wishes from Germany.

What an awesome vid. I grew up going to the Kennedy ranges and this is the first footage ive seen since - it really makes me want to get back there. Your shows are incredible quality and really enjoyable to watch, i hadn't seen any before today and ive spent the whole arvo watching! Well done on putting it all together and also your comments / attitude about looking after these places. I can't believe you dont have a prime time spot on tv because it kicks ass on most shows. Just wondering what type of drone do you use.? Keep it up, you've really inspired me to get back to my birth state and especially up north. Thanks

Love watching you vids Ron. Keep it up. How much fuel do you (on average) take and use?...On this trip for example. Cheers

How many ks did you do? Did the others have better fuel economy or were they in the same boat as you?
@mountainconstructions8 жыл бұрын
Actually, i wouldn't hearing this answer either. Great question.
@simonmul4498 жыл бұрын
Those 70 series aren't known for returning good fuel economy. Unfortunately Toyota still use a 25 year old 5 speed gearbox which results in higher engine revs. It is around 1200kms from Perth to KRNP, the road is tarmac to Gascoyne Junction. Big tyres, heavy loads probably mean something in the order of 18 to 20L/100km.

www.perth4wdhire.net.au/fleet/ i don't know what the pricing is like. but they have vehicles ready to go, some with roof-top tents equipped.
@Engineer97366 жыл бұрын
I’ve been to Australia a few times. Renting a normal car for a month sets you back about 1200 dollars. 4WD sets you back over 4000 dollars. But even if you decide to pay that, you need to be with at least 2 vehicles on such remote trips. And i’m afraid that lack of experience will get you stuck on some little detail soon. Out there your life is seriously depending on the vehicle and enough food / water. On the bitumen roads there is plenty to see and experience for like 6 months.

@Kenjineering7 жыл бұрын
I'm thinking of doing the trip to the Kennedy Range escarpment (where you camped) from the other direction.. so starting at Gascoyne Junction and following the tracks. Do you think those sloppy tracks past the abandoned shearing station are always boggy? Was there drizzle on the days leading up to your trip? I travel solo and my new 4wd has AT tyres that look like they're from a Hyundai so just a bit concerned as this vid was uploaded in October and this area is meant to be fairly dry during that time.
@Ronny_Dahl7 жыл бұрын
I'd suggest not to travel alone out there, you won't see anyone for days maybe even weeks around the western side. It didnt rain until after we past the sloppy areas before that it had been dry for a long time (3weeks). there are signs along the track the entire way too.
