I have to say that with the software editor i easily been able to use 16 effects (all the pads) with just 1 bank, i can do the same with the other 3 banks. Possibly there are limitations that i dont know, but at least i'vee been able to load 16 HPF LPF Filters in 1 bank, was one of the first things that i've done when started to use the editor with no effort.

Great video. Towards the end you seem to be activating effects which stay on until you deactivate them. I've only been able to get the effects to work while the button is being manually held down. Can you recall how to make the effects stay on? I guess it was a long time ago when you made this video though!

Hey sorry I just got one of these again lol yeah just make sure the hold button is on.

The XW-PD1 is capable of so much more than meets the eye. Easy to start, but a steep learning curve to make it sound good. I started using it as a sampler for some beats now. The effects are also off the chain! Just use a 🎧 and it sounds 👍.

I've started to used the trackformer since a few months. I'm wondering if there is a way to change the stock "sounds", instead of using the limited amount for "user samples". The other thing that i don't understand is if i use a "User sample", i can only managed to use 1 sample in 1 bank, with different pitches, instead of loading varios user samples in just 1 bank. Anybody knows a way to use more User samples in 1 bank?

Greate video. It helped a lot. When talking about extra features, what are you refering to? The only thing I know is that it has different triggering modes. Is there something else?
@RonCavagnaro2 жыл бұрын
There's lots of features. I just got myself this gear again because it's so crazy awesome I'll try to get some more videos of it

whats up with the crazy cave verb on your voice? :D
@RonCavagnaro7 жыл бұрын
Raffi Tchakmakjian for my earlier videos I was using a reverb I thought was light but ended up being massive after uploading so my new videos don't have it.
@raffitchakmakjian7 жыл бұрын
interestingly enough, it's a cool verb, mind if I ask what it is? Stock daw plugin? 3rd party?
@RonCavagnaro7 жыл бұрын
Raffi Tchakmakjian yes it is Valhalla vintage verb

thanks for the reply, I know Valhalla is highly recommended on various forums, I see (or hear rather) why, good stuff. Nice tutorial as well.

oscillated it's not a midi clock though. How do you use it?
@oscillated1397 жыл бұрын
I will test it out again as it is a while since i did this but I think I used it to start in synch with my pc and other synths. It doesn't solve everything but it means it can work alongside whatever your set up might be.
@RonCavagnaro7 жыл бұрын
oscillated yes it can start and stop but it can go off synch due to no clock. I use it a lot for mangling only

Can you upload samples without having to use a computer after uploading?
@RonCavagnaro7 жыл бұрын
Donovan Simmons sorry I am unsure what you mean how would you upload without a computer
@DonovanPresents7 жыл бұрын
I just watched the NAMM version. I was wondering if you could import audio samples into the Casio then disconnect from the computer and play it that way. I think that's possible, but I am unsure...

Ron Cavagnaro yeah I ended up ordering one online today, I'm hoping I can try and figure out how I can use it with my current set up. I'm thinking maybe I can create a track on it and use it's headphone out to record the track directly onto my zoom r8, and then possible syncing the timing with other recorded guitar/bass/synth/drums tracks. however the lack of a midi clock has me somewhat nervous and skeptical. I was hoping to use it as a drum machine directly into my synth, and outputting from my synth into the zoom r8. I can try but the timing already seems a bit frustrating. leaving me a bit skeptical. hopefully I can make it work though! I'm loving the versatility/capabilities of this unit , but the lack of midi is definitely a game changer! 😩

You're a crazy man! What a wild combo. The PD1 has got to be the weirdest little thing made in a long long time. On mine the record button row doesn't light up, which adds an 'interesting' dynamic...shall we say.
