What ultimately makes this infomercial so epic is that the Showtime Rotisserie is actually an awesome product that truly does absolutely everything Ron Popeil promised. Everything and anything you cook in it comes out amazingly juicy and tender. Ask anyone who has one. I've had mine since 2003, it works as great today as it did on day one and it's still one of my most essential and frequently used kitchen appliances.

He really was a hell of a salesman, great at making things seem so simple you’d be a sucker NOT to buy the product. Also realizing now that he had a brilliant business model. I had a friend who worked at Caesar's Palace in Vegas. He told me that Ron was a regular there. One labor day weekend in the late 80's he had booked a suite and had 2 escorts sent to his room. About 3 am calls started coming into the front desk about the noise in his room. When hotel staff got there Ron was completely naked, coked out of his mind, and the escorts had locked themselves in the bathroom. LVPD were called and had to basically hog tie him and carry him downstairs through the main lobby. My buddy said he was banned from the hotel indefinitely.

Soon as he said "Under $100" I figured "$99.99"? I was close!

he is a real doctor. you can talk about the cheesiness of it all and maybe the ethics of it but he's a bonafide cardiologist!

I always wondered why the audience reacted like that to the hammer thing. It turns out that he actually broke the glass during the first take (it was later edited out!)

I had one of these, and followed the instructions to the letter, however once I "forgot it" I'd remember when my chicken was days old and smelled horrible. Thanks for nothing Ron, your instructions suck!

I bought one of these and I've never regretted it. I thought this would be cheap and trashy until I saw the one my sister bought and tasted the meat that came out if it. This is the only thing I've ever purchased off of TV and is buy another one if the company was still in business.

I bought one way back then but left it with my mother when I moved away and, well, it's no more. A few years ago I decided I wanted another and got one off eBay. Still love it.
