RE unzeroed rifles - I have seen some places that sign up people for training and issue them new equipment with the expectation that they will break in and zero the weapons there on site, and not prior to. Obviously its stupid, but it happens. And of course, there are always the agencies that have an armorer “zero” the weapon, and the individual officers using it are not allowed to adjust the sights.

I come from Croatia, a country where it's not perceived normal to do stuff like this. We don't shoot or go to ranges or any of that. I had an opportunity to shoot a double barreled shotgun once and a very rare opportunity to squeeze off two rounds from a Zastava M70ab (folding stock AK47 variant). The closest I got to manipulating an AR was through airsoft. Whatever you people think about airsoft, I don't care. It got me to a point of understanding the weight, sight picture and mechanics of the platform. It also got me interested in watching stuff like this. Anyway... I've seen a lot of these mumbo jumbo dudes all over KZbin that do these courses without ever setting foot in a war zone, calling guns "weapon systems" and crap like that. Then you got Tu, a true warrior calling a gun what it is - a gun. He's here pouring out wisdom and experience coming from a long lasting military career. I have not heard a single word come out of this guy that doesn't make sense. Also, his presentation skills are on point. When he talks, people listen. I hope these guys from the video understand how fortunate they are to be able to learn from Tu.

Thing with the airsoft, I've been airsofting and practical shooting for over 8 years now.. and AIRSOFT HELPS. Not with the marksmanship phase, because you shoot out bb's but for the learning handling a firearm relatively safely, airsoft is top notch.

@odinzraider5914 жыл бұрын
Crossfit is shit when you're only training purpose is to get through the "WOD" faster. Absolute dog shit. You start sacrificing form, time under tension, and start "seeking" exhaustion. That being said, circut training with the purpose of performing the exercises to the best of your ability with perfect form every time regardless how long it takes you is very beneficial. Seeking quality over quantity. If you look at any SOF Prep or SOF maintenance programs they're mainly circuit training and quality seeking with an RPE of 5-7. i.e. Horseman program, SOFLETE program, THOR SFAS prep, GREEN Team SEAL prep, and Pat McNamara's CST. Of course if one had any experience in fitness they know that simply doing circut training is not adequate for complete well rounded fitness. There will always be the need for specialty days. Specifically, strength days, in any variant of the squat, deads, bench and OHP. As well as, job or sport specific, climbing, jujitsu, marathons, triathlons, etc. So in short, when he says crossfit, he's talking about circut training. Crossfit is gym brand name that became the more commonly used term. On a personal note: I used to be really into bodybuilding style of training and loved it as well as my results. As you can see in my picture I'm still a farly muscular guy. Wasn't until I decided that I wanted to go SF that I realized that I wasn't training for performance. So it all depends on what your goals are and picking the proper training plan and eating lifestyle that is sustainable and doable for your specific goals. Sorry for the rant but I hope this comment it beneficial for someone.
