I think every child born in Sweden knows of this music, and also how it's supposed to be sung; with raw power, on the verge of screaming. Just like you did. Goosebumps all over from this. Thank you!
@ChetzNation8 жыл бұрын
Children born in Sweden today knows raw power is oppressive patriarchy and traditional Swedish music is racist towards the new Swedes. Thank the gods we still have Norway.

Even children - now adults - in Czechia and Slovakia (former Czechoslovakia) know this beautiful film and its songs! During the 80's "Ronja" has found its way behind the Iron Curtain into Communist countries of Central Europe. I remember when I saw it in my childhood years (of course, dubbed in Czech)...

Ronja Räubertochter is known in Germany just as well as in Sweden ;) Every child knows the book and the movie and wants to dance and scream when spring has arrived ;)
@Sunflower-xi6uf4 жыл бұрын
It was the first Movie my older Sister saw in the Cinema in her life, she went there with our Parents and our Parents cried when Ronja in the Movie met her Father again after she left and he screamed: "I've got my Child back!" and my Sister asked my Parents : "Why do you Guys cry, it's a nice part!" Astrid Lindgren Books and Movies are a big Part of my Childhood and Ronja was one of my favourite Astrid Lindgren Movies. I'm German too and you are right, Astrid Lindgren was known in Germany as much as in Sweden

I loved both book and film as a child but was never scared though I was indeed an anxious child. And I love both also as an adult, it was a very important story for me having a father who couldn't show his feelings and never really said he loved me and didn't let me grow and develop. Nowadays I'm a Ronja, too, roaming the woods and lowland forests of my hometown, loving to be within nature and to be there by myself. Oh, and this great, powerful music! 😍 It plucks my heartstrings and leaves me crying.

Not only Swedish kids, FINNS too! These songs are forever carved into my mind since childhood.... Great book, great movie, melodies greater than life which carry on the Nordic spirit of the old age. Our great great great grand children will sing these and wonder how did their forebears come up with something like this and its "only" music written for a movie..... Do I need to mention that I'm a musician and a Finn. And do I need to say I love my Scandinavian brothers and sisters. IF we die out, let our songs live forever.

3:46 My friends and mine knew that part of the German version of the movie which was screened on German TV somewhere in the 1980's. Imagine a bunch of 6yo kids who did not understand a word but, who did not hit a single tone correctly, but nevertheless clashed this song through the neighbourhood - all day. Our parents must have been masters of patience :D This video brought a warm splash of memory to me, and some goosebumps. Thank you so much, guys :)
