This interview appears to me to be the audition for McDaniels' hiring. I don't see how or why she got the job based on this interview. She couldn't answer basic questions, she pushed back whenever Trump's name was brought up, regardless of the context, and she very clearly had rehearsed talking points about January 6th. She is the scorpion to NBC's frog. Why NBC trusted her to not drown them in the river together is far beyond me. The 2020 election has been over and decided more times than anyone wants to think about again. Giving a voice to "voting irregularities" 3.5 years later is anti-democratic, delusional, wrong, and shows your propensity to gaslighting millions of people. There have been irregularities in every single election ever to be had in this country, yet, with a very specific and localized exception of 2000, only 2020 gets the microscope across the entire country. Recounts are fine, they are a side effect of a healthy system. Those happened in 2016 and they didn't change the result. Nobody actually questions the legitimacy of the vote count in 2016. It was safe and verified. Did people get into a giant horde regarding Russian interference? Yes! Because it changed people's minds. But was it ever alleged the vote counts themselves were altered? NO. The fact I had to spell all of that out in an NBC KZbin comment section in 2024 shows how far we have fallen. Shame on NBC. Shame on the RNC. Shame on all of you who perpetuate this lie to make more money and have more power. The people under your spell may never wake up. You cannot control what you cannot break.
