@@paraweld9838 I respect Mariusz wholeheartedly but he was fortunate to have been competing during the WSM/IFSA split that had competitors all divvied up between different competitions. As far as actual static strength goes, peak Brian and Zydrunas were on an entirely different plane of existence. And that’s not meant to be an insult, it’s just the sport has evolved.

@@blackonefifty ask that to Zydrunas, competed against Mariusz 24 times, Mariusz won 16 of those, the IFSA atheltes were the lucky one to dodge Mariusz peak, he was untouchable for the most part.

You should learn more about Brian and strongman as a whole. I think you'd be really impressed. Brian has won 4 times, the final one in 2016, and we were surprised when he didn't win this year. He is a legend of strongman, and even with a bad performance, he's still the 7th strongest man on earth right now. He retired with WSM 2023, except for one last appearance at his own Shaw Classic.

For more ocntext, he is 40 years old and has been on the decline of his career. This past WSM was his final before he retires completely after the Shaw Classic.

Shaw is one of the greatest if not the greatest strongmen in history imo. He's won worlds strongest 4 times and just recently retired after his win at the Shaw Classic for strongest man on earth. He has done a ton for the strong man sport and that's not even mentioning the other numerous competitions he's won and constantly giving back to the community and fans.

Shaw has probably given more back to the sport than any other competitor. He is a leader. He is in my top 3 strongman for sure. I really liked Bill Kazmaier a lot too. He was the first strongman I sort of followed and he was like no one I'd ever see before.

I'd say Big Z is the GOAT, but Shaw is absolutely among the very best without question. In the top half dozen strongest men of all time. You're right, he's done a lot for the sport. Shaw is a patriotic American too; I liked his response to Arnold's terrible "f your freedom" comment.

remember ronnies attitude. Dudes has i think a dozen back surgeries and has constant pain now due to injuries sustained while competiting and hes so positive. its hard to be positive in constant pain and tiring, but your life will improve drastically with a positive outlook

Ronnie is a true freak of nature, probably the strongest body builder that ever lived. In his prime, he probably would have done very well in strong man competitions.

Brian Shaw competed in WSM for his last time this year. He puts on a strongman competition each year in Colorado called the Shaw Classic. I would like to see Brain invite Ronnie to come to the Classic as a special guest, two ICONS in their respective sports together would be awesome.
