back in the day , people this big and strong were extremely rare. When I say extremely , it's like one in thousands. because you need a strict regime to get to that point . in medieval times , not many people could eat to satiate their hunger , even less get enough protein to build consequent muscle mass. vikings for example , although depicted as tall and strong , were actually pretty small , and fit, because of malnutrition.

To be fair, Hafthor has a height advantage for the stones, plus Eddie had to stop to secure a stone. Otherwise it was close to a tie.
