I can't think of anyone who knows metal where Dio doesn't come to mind as the most bad ass voice of metal. I hadn't realized he wasn't in the R&R Hall of Fame. He needs to go into it at the next vote.

Michael Castro He damn sure should be there, look at the incredible number of songs, albums he put out. They have some motherfuckers in the hall of fame that sold 10-20 million records, how the fuck many did Mr. Ronnie James Dio? The rock and roll hall of fame is no different from the rest of our society, it's totally fucking political. It is not based on actual talent, just on who the people at that particular period in time want elected to it. I have no problem with a singer or band making all the money they can, they fucking deserve it if they are great for the hours, weeks, months, years of pleasure we get from listening to their music, but the R'N'R hall of fame is there only to make money for those that contributed not shit to music. I have a problem with that. If others don't, it's a free country, and I will not argue with you, this is my opinion only. If you have a different opinion I am waiting to hear it.
@ibleedwhiskeyplanet15449 жыл бұрын
Michael Castro Man, how many people put music out for 51 years? I know for sure he put out a single on the biggest record label of the time, Atlantic, in 1958, look it up. His last contribution came in 2009. How many people are in the rock 'n roll hall of fame that were only there for 3 or 4, 5 years? Again, look it up, it's infuriating to so many of us that there are some people who contributed so much more but are never seriously considered for entrance into this joke hall of fame. Rolling Stone mag hated Kiss, Rush, etc. in the 1970's, they can't rush to kiss their asses now fast enough. Should Dio have made it a few more years maybe their lips would be glued to his ass too, I guess we'll never know. Revisionist history in certain cases is going on, but what the fuck, sit back and enjoy his music, and expect to be pissed off by mainstream bullshit so called music journalists.

I so love Dio, he continues to amaze me. We were so fortunate to be here at this time and enjoy his music album after album after album, because there are few that you can say are (were) truly one of a kind, someone you will never again see the likes of. Dio is right up there at the top. Now we can only reflect on the impact he had on our lives, but at least we were there to witness how great this man was while he was here. R.I.P. Ronnie James, so many of us were affected by you and your music, so many of us had our lives brightened by you and your music. We will think of you and miss you for the rest of our lives.
