I came to find Ronnie's musical magic through The Small Faces when i was a Lambetta riding Mod around the time this footage was shot. Not only a great songwriter but fuck me what a bass player. As time went on i checked out Slim Chance and obviously The Faces and my life has been so much better for it. I cried in 97 when i heard he'd left us. Same with Marriott in 91 who i was lucky enough to meet and get my Small Faces album signed. I couldnt believe how tiny he was and yet the power of his vocals was something to behold along with some serious guitar magic. Both of them got short changed badly and its so unfair. What they did was for all times and the music they made together and apart is really something else whether its Tin Soldier or Debris etc etc etc etc... Pure magic!!

Ronnie Lane, a wonderful man and under rated musician. Small Faces and Faces were great with great members. But Ronnie was also great on his own.

I thank Ronnie Lane and the Band as they came to Kawasaki Club Citta. Although I visited Austin in 1990, I couldn't find where he was. Thank you Ronnie in music heaven. I love you.

Even in this stage he is more of a musician than most Pop Stars today will ever become. Thank you Ronnie, May your songs be played for ever!
