I'm sure you've heard by now, but if you've seen any of the Elvis TV movies after he died, Elvis with Kurt Russell, Elvis And The Beauty Queen, Elvis And Me, etc, Ronnie was the guy who sang as Elvis.

He sings in Elvis style. Have you heard Austin Butler? Austin embodies Elvis in the movie. He did his own singing for young Elvis and they blended his and Elvis's voice with the older Elvis. Butler is fabulous in the movie! Nomination for an oscar for sure.

I can definitely tell the difference in his voice . I have listened to Elvis intently since the age of five with big headphones on my ears on the older sisters record player. I heard the difference within 30 seconds and would know it isn’t him . The other guy who claims to be his son actually does have some of his sounds which are harder to imitate. All very interesting.

You have to remember one thing about recordings, Elvis' was done in record company studios. You couldn't really tell unless you heard them live. I'ts all a matter of opinion. Shawn Klush is great as far as an imitator, as far as looks plus sound. But sound alone, in my humble opinion, Ronnie Mcdowell is best, bar none.

Yes, you're right. Ronnie is not Elvis. Do you know of anyone that sounds exactly like Elvis? I thought not. Millie is not the young thing that she used to be and who is? The last I heard Ronnie lives in a small Tennesse town called Portland. Portland is close to the Kentucky, Tennessee border, north north east of Nashville. "Older Women" was a big hit for him in this area.

Ronnie was a soft tenor, and faked the lower registry. He can't sing the low notes any longer, so folks are critical of his elvis sound. The irony is that today he sounds more like a young elvis than an older one.
