Hey Maj-Brith, what are you talking about, he doesn't look at all like Elvis, and never tried to, he is not an impersonator. But he did love Elvis and tried to sing just like him, never ever dressed up as Elvis. Sounds as good as any of the impersonators.

Ronnie never dressed like Elvis ever if he wore a jump suit it's news to me. He has always dresses in pants and dress coat most times it's a tee shirt or pull over shirt. Ronnie has done 17 movies of Elvis he sings the songs just like Elvis they want him as the voice he has a new movie coming out I don't know the name of it Ronnie didn't tell it. I love Ronnie when he wrote and put out the king is gone. I thought it was Elvis singing it. It tells how Ronnie sounds like Elvis. The proof of how good Ronnie's voice is like Elvis, when they did the movie, they used his voice, they could just as easily played Elvis' record. You can't tell the difference and that's why they chose to use Ronnie's voice. Think about that. Yes, in the movie, when they did the song "Burning Love" , it is Kurt Russell, but Ronnie's voice.

Priscilla came to Ronnie and asked him herself to do it. He didn't want and credit for the movie but it got out. I have the album from the movie autographed by Ronnie. Ronnie is the nicest guy.

I have some live videos of him in concert singing Elvis, himself and other singers. You gotta know Ronnie. He one of the nicest guys. Alot like Elvis. Treats his fans really good. His concerts are worth going too. He's a really fun guy. A great story teller. When he starts be ready to listen for a while. He's really a great entertainer.

It's too bad that the people who managed him only thought of him as a commodity, someone who will make them money. I saw him go from down home rock n roller to someone who was barely recognizable due to his addiction. Elvis, still ROCKS!!!

Ronnie does not try to be Elvis!!!! He says he is not an impersonator. He has never dressed up and tried to be Elvis. In fact, he looks very little like Elvis. But the voice, NO, he is not Elvis, but he is as good as anyone else I've heard. Shawn Klush is very good too. Listen too Ronnie do "the wonder of you", it sounds even more like Elvis.

Ronnie McDowell is the only Singer out there who can sing,look and move like Elvis...if you notice when he sings any of his own songs he moves his hips like Elvis did that they have to show Ronnie either from afar or from the waist up....Ronnie is not Elvis and doesn't claim to be..But show me a man who can sing like Elvis....

I disagree 100% that no one is near Elvis' voice. There are a few that are very close. No, no one is exactly the same voice as anyone, but to say they are not close is hogwash. When you have to listen closely to tell the difference, that's close. Be realistic here.

Ambitious, but no. Too "vanilla", if that makes sense to you. Great as McDowell was in doing the baritone Elvis, he clearly hasn't got a bluesy bone in his body.. Don't get me wrong, McDowell _was_ absolutely the best Elvis vocalist of his day, but today there are better ones out there. In songs like this, the bluesy & higher section of the King's register, is where he (and nearly all of them except Cody Slaughter) comes well short of the mark.
