Beautiful version. Ronnie definitely liked to create, not play the same stuff over and over. I appreciate the different take on a classic song!

Ronnie left us too soon. He was a Pioneer & innovator his whole career. An unsung trailblazer who never got the true credit he deserved. I met him once in Cocoa Beach Fl. In 1986. He was a decent humble guy with me, a fan. I wish he was still with us & believe Rock history of the 70's & 80's will give him his due place with Montrose, GAMMA & Solo. RIP RM 🎸

I still remember the looks I got in the student lunch room senior year when Montrose was put to the turntable, circa 1973, fucking priceless!. 😊

Randy is just amazing! seeing this again...few years after the fact...and just had the pleasure of meeting him at JK Northrups Studio...while working on the Mood Groove CD. ( this is Glenn) What an incredible voice. Few, could rival and/or...do Pattison Justice on this. I"m not missing Davey here...as much as, indeed, "he was the original'. Killer Job, All of you. and, of course...God Speed 'Razor King'. thank you for the Decades of Iconic Music....

In 2001 Ronnie was looking for a singer to do mostly Montrose music and to write new songs with. I flew down from Boise and auditioned. Are you the drummer that was there that day. If my memory serves me correctly his name was Jimmy.

Saw Gamma supporting Foreigner at the NEC Birmingham (UK) in 1982. What a band! Really underrated - Ronnie Montrose was a real talent who liked to push new ideas and do things his way. Really sad loss.

The lives people lived 200 years ago are unimaginable to us now. This song helps us understand their suffering.

And once again, back to the studio version. I don't get it, the band wrote such a great song, but each time it is played live, either by the band itself (1980) or by parts of it or by other "artists" or artists, it is NEVER spot on. The essence of the song, its melancholy is not caught by the performers. So we get versions with more guitar tralala and with third rate singers or speeded up versions or versions by Asian cover bands with odd accents etc etc. But never, not once did I hear a version that lifted the studio version to an even higher level, as for instance Genesis did with its own songs.... Soooo sad, because this really is a top notch song !

WAAYYYY too much Reverb on the Vocals !! This Mix sounds very amateur-ish and not up to Ronnie's usual, meticulous standards.

Your right on that vocal reverb thing. Not the greatest performance of this entire song actually.
