Ronnie‘Couldnt have hit it any better‘Sullivan But a question: what’s the Point of including Flukes into a ranking of top shots? I mean the player clearly missed the shot he intended and just got lucky.. I like Fluke compilations for fun but don’t think they are great shots.

some of these fluke shoots make me want to see some snooker with called shots. I want to hear Ronnie say "I'm going to bank the queue 4 cushions, then barely tap this exact red" and then do it 🤔😳🤯

If you watch enough snooker you will realize that the cue ball placement (control) is the proof of intention that anyone needs. It's why there is a 'wrong side' of the blue, why centuries are most appreciated, and why most black ball finishes are aligned straight to corner pocket.

@@jlloydb1of9 if you think the shooter knows exactly where the queue ball is going to stop on every shot then you really don't play billiards much. there's a reason every shot in straight pool needs to be called. fluke shots are just that, flukes; no one knew what was going to happen until the queue ball stops spinning. but if we stop counting flukes, then the already fairly long game of snooker could take quite a bit longer, and I don't think people would enjoy watching it as much. but it would be interesting to see how actually good the shooters are, and how many have just been getting hella lucky 🤔🤷🏼‍♂️

What do they do if the cue, after sinking the ball, it rolls and lands right on that spot, then that ball has to be put back in that spot. Has it happened?

Goes on highest available spot. Or directly behind its own spot as close as it can be without touching cue ball. Players will sometimes purposely hold cue ball onto pink spot so next red can be played. Pink will usually go on black or blue spot or somewhere behind pack of reds. They'll rarely do with a black cos they all prefer that one to stay on it's own spot.

Can someone explain to me why Parrott and Hendry were saying how unbelievable the green with check side was? I'm no snooker player and I can see it's a hard shot but I don't understand why it was deserving of such praise. Was it really that hard to play?
