That was a masterclass by any standards. An absolute privilege to watch. The fluidity, the accuracy, the flow, the composure. It's almost as if he was better at 15 than at later stages of his career. One of the most talented sportsmen ever. No wonder Declan Murphy never made it, that must have been traumatising for him.

I think he said at 13 or 14 he would have been ready for professional snooker. That would have been amazing to see someone so young and small taking on the pros

Wow Ronnie has always been so amazing to watch play, he makes it look so easy. He's barely changed in his style either - so confident.

It's like Ronnie was always playing like Ronnie, even back then, at 15. Just looked so confident, like a pro playing an exhibition match,.

Ted Lowe in commentary said, "This 15 year old has a bright future in front of him... He has all the right moves and is the World Junior Champion". I don't think Ted could have realised just how pround his words would prove to be, these aren't just random words from a guy in the commentary box, because Ted Lowe had been around Professional Snooker since the days of Joe & Fred Davis, John Pullman, Sydney Smith, etc, and it was he that BBC contacted to put the Pot Black show together. Wise words and quality observation from a lesser appreciated legend of snooker. Rest in heaven Ted Lowe and its easy to see that Ronnie was alread way ahead of his time.

Boy I miss Ted Lowe's dulcet tones. At least he witnessed the start of true greatness in Ronnie.
