I can only think of one mate and that's Phil Taylor. Snooker for me, hardest sport in the world. Ronnie is a natural born freak. Never be another Ronnie

Geez that man can play pool. I have had so much enjoyment in the last 20 years watching him grow and master one of the toughest games out there. Hat's off to Ronnie.

Considering his recent defeat against Bingham and the fact that he missed the Tour and Players Championships, we have to resort to past matches like this... Great video!

Ronnie O'Sullivan won a fifth world title that year and among the players he beat en route to glory was Stuart Bingham. Bingham played a much better match than he did at the Crucible and made this match memorable, an indication of what was to come in the next eighteen months culminating him in winning the world title.

Great brown by Bingham to screw back. Reminds me of that red Ronnie played in a similar spot against Neil Robertson in China. He screwed back for a pink I think needed a high value color.
@sgrsuman
@sgrsuman 4 жыл бұрын
Yes he needed at least a pink
@CesarMuroya
@CesarMuroya 4 жыл бұрын
That one came to mind too, although Ronnie's shot was more spectacular. He came from 60 behind, the red was almost tight to the cushion and further from the pocket. Neal Foulds commentated 'it would be the shot of the tournament if he gets position to the pink'. The event was the 2018 Shanghai Masters.

I'm a little new to snooker, but when Ronnie missed at the end of the 17th frame I believe Bingham was 36 behind with 25 remaining, so 3 snookers required. Wouldn't 99% of players play on for those snookers in a tied match that close to the end of the final of the Champion of Champions?
@CesarMuroya
@CesarMuroya 4 жыл бұрын
They usually try it when there is still a red on the table in hopes of getting a free ball (up to 8 additional points). In this case, Bingham can only gain 3 points for a free ball (the value of the ball on).

I hope advertisers take notice of the FACT that the advertisements that keep getting more and more intrusive KZbin watchers hate and will not only not by the product, but will not buy that company’s range of products.

KZbin creators' income comes from those ads, allowing you to view their production for free. Is it too much to ask to wait 5 seconds to skip ads?

9:44 why did bingham play for the pink instead of just rolling it in and play for the black? Any reason? Playing for the pink he almost missed the pot.
@CesarMuroya
@CesarMuroya 4 жыл бұрын
To make it easier to get position on the yellow. When potting the pink, the cue ball bounces off the right cushion heading toward the yellow ball, so speed is not critical. Instead, from the black, he would need to control both direction and speed.
@chasewemartech3584
@chasewemartech3584 3 жыл бұрын
For black it has to be 2 cushions for yellow, with pink it was just 1 cushion and easier to position for yellow

What does counter attack actually means in snooker?
@christurvey9161
@christurvey9161 4 жыл бұрын
A counter attack is when Player A is nearing more points than is left on the table (or even leaving his Player B needing snookers to be able to steal the frame) and he misses or plays safe, then player B gets to the table and steals the frame. A great counter attack is when someone can clear up and steal the frame in amazing fashion.
