The fact that he swallowed his pride and told the tow truck driver, "I'll take any advice you give me", proved that he is smart. He took responsibility for his mistakes, and is willing to let someone with experience make the call.😊👍

I haul cars for the same company. If that’s the worst thing that has happened to him . He shouldn’t be embarrassed at all. A million things can happen when hauling cars. I’ve never gotten hung up in the thirty years I’ve been out here on any truck. Who’s to say it won’t happen to me tomorrow. We do our ten hour breaks in these hotels we’ve never been to all of the time. Some setups have a lift system, some don’t. I’m assuming since he said he’s in a spare he assumed that truck would clear. These things get hung up all of the time. Pray you don’t do it on a railroad crossing. Great vid…..

1:06 Ron, i really appreciate your efforts in helping people and doing a very professional job during their hour of need. I am 80 yrs young and still learning about life and you have helped me immensely simply by the way you are organized! I find myself now very deliberately putting away items I have just used back to the same spot I found them in weather it be tools, household items, my wife loves you for it! Keep putting out these videos as they are addictive to watch. Fantastic job!!!

I remember that call, it was another great adventure for Ron. The embarrassed driver was quickly freed and sent on his merry way. The asphalt scars are evidence a few rig drivers caught up unaware and in the same predicament. Not only do I really like your content, I am learning a lot as well. Watching the young guns growing into highly educated , safe operators is great to watch and learn with. You are preparing a select group of great people to take the reigns when you choose to step back from the front lines to ready the next generation of operators. I think most followers likely know you'll be going on calls until Missus Prat says it time to enjoy our retirement years, with plans in the works for more adventures away from the shop and the hustle and bustle of an business owner's life. I think I can safely say; "knowing in my heart you will likely follow your father's knowledgeable and dedicated footsteps. To be there for a few little jobs when it's busy or when that day arrives that your knowledge and experience is needed on scene, and for your operators knowing when to make that call". A fantastic video Ron. Thank You and God Bless to all of Midwest Truck's extended family.

Ron, one summer years ago I drove a truck that had a 5 speed tranny and 2 speed axle. The terrain where I worked required a lot of shifting. Listening to Tator's engine as you went through the gears brought back a lot of memories. Thanks for the great videos that help make the lives of your fans very enjoyable.

I work for a small family owned towing company in northern Wisconsin & another option is to unhook the rear suspension air leveling valve arm & move it up, thus raising the car haulers suspension giving it more ground clearance so that the driver can drive out of a situation like that without having to winch the car hauler especially when it's loaded with vehicles. We sometimes have to also adjust the suspension leveling valve to tow those trucks as the mini fifth wheel plate is so low to the ground. Just another option.

Take it easy Ron ,there were a few Darns said there ,but know the feeling, the little things that just sets the mood . Glad you showed why it's not always a straight pull out of a situation. I am in Arizona and there is another company here in the Northern part of the State that has their own channel and I just don't care for their style. I've got an exit to my driveway similar to that. Got a large U-Haul hung up on it a couple of times. Easy enough to pull out with the little truck. Little truck the f-150 as opposed to the F-250. Still I was happy when we figured out the route that didn't require pulling it out and was easier on the asphalt.
