I share your opinion The Auto Hot-Shot. It's nice to know that Jimmy Smits is still alive and kicking in reality but whenever I see him I can't help but think about his character Detective Bobby Simone because he was undoubtedly one of the best written characters on the show. Now I did like David Caruso's character Detective John Clark but unfortunately Caruso decided to leave the show after the first season and I also recall reading about behind-the-scenes drama that Caruso had with the crew.

No offense but why is every single NYPD Blue comments section someone feels the need to post this. Its a great show but its definitely reeking of desperation that you have to prove the greatness of the show every time a clip is posted. There's been a lot of great TV shows over the years and NYPD Blue is one of them no doubt but having to hammer home that every single clip is a bit overboard. Just accept that its a great show and don't worry about trying to put it on a pedestal above other shows.

Andy’s Partners in my opinion. John Kelly-Father figure to Andy. Open minded. Had his own issues. Bobby Simone- Neighborhood best friend that you always called a brother.
