Thanks for this! I have a few laser cut wood kits sitting on the shelf waiting for me. Haven't built one yet, so all of this is super helpful.

Hi Ron Thats a great little build you did there, some very small and fiddly parts but none the less a worthwhile mode. Thanks

Great video. Although an experienced modeller I don't have much experience with wooden kits so found this video particularly useful.

Thanks, and that's why I do it. I'm glad you find it helpful. I'm curious, what model are you building first?

@@RonsTrainsNThings My dad found a whole N-Scale set with multiple cars, engines, pieces of track, people, trees, and other decore for $150 at a rummage sale. I have since invested a lot into building the scene and adding details. Just starting to lay the track now. I have been using your videos to help and give me inspiration :) I'm 33 and have always wanted to build a model train diorama.

Thanks for the tip on the micro brush for carpenter glue application, I used tooth picks! The dried glue would come off the plastic micro brush easier, I will make the switch! I will be using this soon! N scale is a Son Of a Gun, to work in! I model ho and S scale! Nice work Ron, I enjoyed the video!

Would you recommend 1" or 1 3/4" mini-clothespins?
@RonsTrainsNThings
@RonsTrainsNThings 11 ай бұрын
I would recommend having a variety of sizes on hand, but the ones I used in this video measure 1 3/8".

Ìf you want frosted "glass" use a thinner compatible with the plastic solvent and cut 90% thinner and gently spray, or dry brush, the solution on one side. Put the frosted side on the inside of the window. Be careful with this technique as you can quickly destroy glaźing.
