I wash houses at 290 lbs. I wash roofs with enough pressure to reach the peaks and then some. So if you just say you're only going to use 100 lbs and can't reach the top it's time to crank the pressure up not get the ladder out! It takes me 35 seconds to purge the line from soap to water or water to soap. So I know how much area I can cover in 35 seconds. Then I turn my soap off knowing I have 35 seconds before water comes out. This way there is little lag time between soap and water. It works the other way around too. Wash your next house at 290 and calculating the soap vs water thing I mentioned.

Along with that AR45 pump you may want to carry some spare parts down the road just in case you need to make a repair on the spot or when you get home. It does require more maintenance than the other machines. Mine is leaking now and probably have between 50-60 hrs on it. Awesome work my friend.

I sold my AR after one season. Too much downtown. The machine was constantly leaking. I also thought it put way too much product down. I went with the north star 24 volt last season. It's a lot easier to control with less down time. Maybe you'll have better luck then I did. I like my dedicated pump better.

Yes, it's such a long wait. That's a lot of SH at a roof mix. The soap takes another 25 seconds, it would seem, so I just batch mix the soap, and turn it on if I need something really sticky.

Awesome job! We have been solely using softwash 12v and 24v pumps for a year now and are thinking of trying down-streaming. Our current rig has a 8gpm gx690, a water tank, bleach tank and soap tank. Could you help point me in the right direction to trying out down streaming? So it could pull soap and bleach without it being in 1 tank?
@TheFreshRinse Жыл бұрын
If you want to use separate tanks, you will need a dual Barb injector. On the soap line you will need a metering valve.

Hey yall, I know this pales in comparison to the AR, but has anyone here done 2 12V 7gpm (or even 5.5gpm) remco style pumps parallel connected with T's before and after the pumps? I feel like it would hit the best of both worlds. Thoughts? Thanks

Major volume means major SH consumption with the AR45. I think you're going to find a lot of waste/run off when using for house/siding washes. In my opinion, treat the AR45 like a 12v (roofs only). Go back to downstreaming with your pressure washer when doing house/siding washes. You'll have that pressure when needed, and I think you'll see a more efficient use of your SH.

I'm following. I have a different gas diaphragm setup and my struggles with it are slightly different but that may be because of circumstances. I bought it for stucco storefronts and it has been amazing to be able to throw 3% and rinse with good volume. I struggle on roofs with it no matter how much I throttle it back. It's just too much volume for me that I've moved back to using the 12v for roofs I don't use it for house washes as it's not as efficient for my usual 2/3 story houses as my pw is. Don't kill me KZbin, but for me , it's a stucco machine or a single story house wash rig.

I’m thinking that the M5 MIGHT do you better than the red gun on the AR45. I, too, have the red gun. JD referred me to it. But here’s my only negative to the red gun and I’m curious if you agree: there seems to be a bit of a void in the middle of the “cone” where there isn’t as much water hitting the surface. More water around the outer circle. Maybe I’m nitpicking and not sure if you’ve noticed that when it’s on the fan tip. Maybe try the M5 sometime and see how you like that. I prefer it for my booster. Or even a green tip for a finer mist in certain circumstances (way less runoff). And the familiar M5 may even help with the learning curve because you’re not only dealing with a new, different machine but also the red gun which is also different. Just food for thought. Well done today!

Some times we have the thick organics in the south. I had to use a deck brush to remove what the bleach wasn't touching on my folks home. 27 years of growth but that was when I was using a pump sprayer and garden hose. I tried 2,3 5% on brick in two different areas then brush, the bleach handled the other areas alone. Now I have some kick with a pressure washer and m5twist to knock it down.
