I'm sorry about the AI voice, but I don't have enough time to add my own voice over. If the voice bothers you, you can turn on subtitles. In this video I go back to the facade and finish it, I also lay roof tiles and install soffit and fascia. Laying roof tiles is heavy, very heavy. It is recommended that you use a brick lift but I couldn't get hold of one so I carry everything by hand. I took a picture of myself afterwards and that's the one you see in the picture
✧𝗕𝘂𝘆 𝗯𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲!✧
I have created detailed SketchUp CAD drawings and parts list of the house and furniture's available for a small fee. It took me a long time to make the drawings and if you buy them you support me and my house. read more here: mindsparx.org/s... , Thank you!
Updates. I update the CAD file every now and then and you who have already bought drawings can contact me with the same email you used when you bought the drawings and I will send them updated.

People donate to me to show their appreciation which is incredible. I have no expectations at all for any contributions but they are appreciated as it is expensive to build a house.

I'm almost done watching all individual episodes. What amazes me most is not as much what we see as what we don't see (once its done and finished. You can pour millions building a new house, but more often then not, the better part of it will be spent in the wrong areas (bling bling), while the bones are just so-so, but certainly not here.

Purlins. They are the horizontal strips and are nailed directly to the rafters in the US. Used mostly with metal barn roof without insulation. The verticals would still be used when sheeting and insulation for the same reasons as you stated .

Great work and yet so humble a man. My deepest bow for the work done and keeping yourself grounded. We have similar methods of building but in my country most of the family houses are made of hard materials (bricks, clay and concrete blocks and recently Ytong). We also have light building house types to some extent, but they are similar to american style (adapted to our financial situation) and they are made poorly comparing to your type of build. Mostly lacking of thicker thermal insulation and almost complete absence of vapour barriers. You also have much advanced water and electrical instalations. As far as the roof goes, we use masive timber trusses, mostly covered by timber boards (and of lately with OSB), followed by water stopping layer and clay tiles. The system of counter battens and battens is almost the same. Anyway, just wanted to ask if you put some form of snow stoppers on the roof? Best regards and keep up the great work.

I am surprised that you don't interleave the tiling "brick pattern, as this gives better tie-in and resilience to wind lifting. On reflection, I guess that this is because you have vertical rather than pitched eaves. Durrrhhh to me . In the UK there are companies that will pre-bend aluminium eave and soffit fascias to custom profiles before kiln-dry powder coating. This is what we used on our self-build. Looks nice; long life and zero maintenance.
