I'm a little bit of both haha. But no, the tent was great and I loved that thing. Moving to a hard shell one next I think.

Thanks for the review. I have been looking at this one and the Smitybuilt RTT, but I like the Led light that the RC has with it. Really nice review. New subscriber.

I’ve used It a few times so far and still pleased with it. Especially for the money. The mattress is comfortable enough for what it is. The light is very bright, Jaime liked that for reading, the mounting location is good for that. We slept both of us and our two dogs (50ish pounds each) in it without being cramped at all.

How has this tent held up?

How easy is this to remove when not in use because I wouldnt be able to go into my garage with that on roof.
@LostCauseRanch3 ай бұрын
It would be a two person job with something to lift it. The time somewhat depends on how high you roof rails are off the roof. If you have enough space to access it easily the 8 nuts to remove don’t take much time. But if it is tight it can add some time. My LR4 rack is lower than this one and it probably takes 10-15 minutes to remove vs. 5 on this one. Lining everything up for install takes a little bit longer.

@@LostCauseRanch thanks alot....I'll probably go a different direction then a rooftop tent .

Have you put a tape measure on it to find a true width? Website says it one measurement for the tent width and another for the annex width for that model tent.

Do you need to buy THIER roof rack to attach to the tent or will existing any roof rack do ?
@LostCauseRanch Жыл бұрын
It will clamp to most cross bars. I believe the Range Rover in this video had yakima bars on it. I mainly had it on my LR4 with 80/20 extrusion bars.

I have rrc like yours but afraid to put 70 kgs on top of the roof because the ABC posts of the vehicle are so thin and weak

Hello there . Nice video would that tent will hold a 298 lb guy
@LostCauseRanch Жыл бұрын
I think it should. Had 2 50 lb dogs and the girlfriend and I in it. So 375 there and didn’t feel flimsy at all.

I have a 86b Dodge ramcharger and I really want a good not 5k roof top tent. I sat this for a bargain online I know you wouldn't know exactly but do you think it would work with my truck? Great review.

How would this fit on a 5 foot Tacoma bed?
@LostCauseRanch2 жыл бұрын
It would hang off the back a bit, it is fairly wide. It is 64" wide, so by the time you leave a little room up from you would probably overhang 6-8". But it does make for a roomy sleeping quarters because of that width.

Rough country website says the tent is 62” wide and the annex says it’s 56” wide. How wide is the tent can you put a tape measure on it to find the true width? Thanks

Great video - your mattress looks like a dark gray pleated material but the rough country site shows a light gray smooth mattress. Where did you get your tent and was that the mattress that came with it? Thanks

Thanks for the review! How comfortable is the memory foam??
@LostCauseRanch3 жыл бұрын
It’s light. Nothing crazy great but it is worlds better than being on the ground with just a sleeping bag. I’m comfortable on it. I may add a slim mattress topper to it eventually but I want to get a few more nights sleep on it before. I’m hoping to get another video up next month after some more time with it.

Can you leave this on your car or is it something that you will need to remove after each use?
@LostCauseRanch Жыл бұрын
I leave it on for the summer and remove it during the winter when I’m not going to use it much. It’s not going to hurt it to stay in there as long as you are using it every so often to open it up and air it out.

Still expensive for a tent but a hell of a lot more reasonable than the other BS tents out there
@LostCauseRanch2 жыл бұрын
I agree, some of the $4000 ones would be hard to swallow. I do enjoy being off the ground and it just being out of the way and with me most of the time. Though I have it on a LR4 now so it is pretty tall going down the road. I’m keeping my eyes out for a budget hardshell that is lower profile.
