Banks need to start retrieving money for defrauded customers who used checks. If credit card companies can do it, why not banks that issue and accept checks?

This is why you have homeowners insurance and use who they recommend and still do your due diligence on top of that. Just did my roof, fixed my upstairs unit and my kitchen w/no problem and they paid for everything

With normal crews you can ask to buy materials by yourself (contractor will put the order you call and pay and having delivered to your address ) Most roofs are done with one day , end of the work you pay your roofer

I deal with local and reputable roofing contractors. I ask for references, insurance, workman comp docs, and visit the office they operate out of before signing a contract. Even with hiring decent roofers we had a few issues. At least with the guys I hired they took care of the problems and delivered a finished product.
